I am not sure whether my existing windscreen can be repaired.

My windscreen is full of tiny stone chips but are not big enough to cause danger for driving.

I am just wonder if I could ask the repairer to replace a new windscreen and covered by the insurance.

I have a insurance cover for windscreen damage.

Any advice or suggestions?

If you have windscreen insurance cover then you dont really have to worry about it...

If it needs to be replaced then have it replaced. The Insurance will pay...

I don't think my windscreen will need to be replaced at this stage as the stone chips are not causing any danger.

My question is can I still request the windscreen to be replaced at the expense of the insurance company?

As mentioned above, only if you have windscreen cover on your insurance policy which is usually in the form of an additional payment per year.

Yes, I do have the windscreen cover policy at nil excess.

So you are saying that the insurance company will still happy to pay the claim even though my windscreen is not necessary need a replacement?

Are you sure?
