Sportivo 2 Button Remote Key

Hi Ya,

For my 05 Sportivo, I have 1 set of Master Key with a 2 button remote.

On my previous car, which is a 05 Corolla Ascent, I have a spare 1 button remote.

Can the 2 button remote be programmed into a used 1 button remote?

I dont think it can..

Plus, you wont be able to open the boot with a one button remote..

Update:-

Went to a local dealer (ready but reluctantly to pay $450) for a new remote and key.

Luckily one of the service staff was very helpful, he found a used remote from their lost and found box.

As it was a used remote, he only charged me $60 for the programming.

Luckily I have a spare shell, and got the key cut for $40.

So total cost is $100 Yeah!!! What a Feeling!!!

Needless to say I bought him some good beers!!!

Not really.

I have a key with separate one button remote.

I bought a blank key from ebay for $15 with the programming instructions, paid $10 for locksmith to cut it and then went to the Corolla dealer to get a new remote plus programming for $40.

All up $65.

If my car came with a 1 button remote, I could do it for $60 as well as I had a spare 1 button remote.

Unfortunately my sportivo came with 2 buttons...., couldnt be programmed into 1 button as mentioned earlier in this post.
