Hi all,

Im new to this forum n would just like to thank you all for your helpful information in purchasing a new toyota aurion. I have just bought a 2007 Aurion Prodigy and im loving driving it. However i have noticed that when driving at slow speeds my steering wheel shakes/shutters. I have alerted toyota and i am currently booked in to have the problem looked at(hopefully under the 3month dealer warranty).

Is this just a simple wheel balance/alignment issue or could it be something more sinister? I have not noticed any steering spline noise and hope this has nothin to do with that.

Also i was woundering how trust worth the sensors are as i have parked within 20mm of an obstacle and still had 2 bars showing.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

sounds like a simple wheel ballance problem. or maybe even a tyre that isnt quite round anymore.. but iv seen stranger things happen. jsut hope for the best i supose.

In most cases, a wheel balance should fix the vibration

Dont forget to...

  • Rotate all wheels every service (10 - 15,000KM on avg)
  • Keep tire pressures correct (speak to tire shop for assistance on correct pressures)
  • Wheel Alignments are needed with new tires as it can prevent premature wear (saving you $$ and future issues)
  • Don't let the wear get to severe before changing for new tires, especialy this time of year when roads are slippery!

Glad to hear a balance/alignment was all you needed :D better then something major being wrong!

METAL13
