Hey all,

Just wondering wat the best way to clean the sliver bits round the edge on my windows on my aurion would be. I cleaned the car with meguirs car shampoo on the weekend and cleaned the windows with eagle one window cleaner, however all the metal (chrome look alike) surfaces have not come up with that shinny metal finish. (water spots are left on them and they no longer shine) Any ideas wat to use on these areas to get them shining bright again?

Cheers

Im just taking a wild guess that any store selling AutoGlym should have the stuff you need. Are there Autobarn stores in Perth?

Some of the chrome strips can actually have a clear PU coating over the metal. Normal metal polishes can be abrasive, and will dull the look in the long run(by hazing the PU).

I suggest just a wax first of all until you know for sure its not coated..

A quick detailer like Meguiars Final Inspection/Meguiars Quick Detailer/Mothers Showtime will remove watermarks and make the shiny bits shine again.

Very thoughtful.

Always read the product instructions first and if still unsure try on a small area for testing.
