grimlock, whats with the funky black and grey interior?

What is the chassis model of your corolla? Never seen an 02 corolla with that colour interior...was it a custom job?

You are also the guy with the supercharger as well huh...how does that go if i may ask? Your clutch fried yet? Does it deliver an adequate power and torque increase and also, how does your fuel consumption suffer?

cheers

What is the chassis model of your corolla? It's just a stadard corolla sedan

My clutch is dying i've got all the parts ready to go to replace it

The car has been tuned so i guess the fuel comsuption is better than stock, i travel around 650kms costing me 35dollars a week at 128cents per litre for 98octane fuel

cheers

hey mate looks pretty good but

personal opinion here not an attack towards anyone

i would rather keep my standard sportivo wheel compared to that wheel

1, its the same shape anyway

2, again personal opinion all the holes in the leather wrapping i think looks kinda silly

but hey each to there own mate it still looks pretty good but

cheers

if i had i would stop being lazy and learn how to post pics i would show you all the steering wheel i wanna put on

i think ive figured it out

ok reason for this wheel well basicly i kept it when i sold my ute like a year ago

now the silver side bits matches perfectly to the silver console in the sportivo

and its a performance racing wheel its got the hand grooves and everything in it

its really comfortable to use

also its JUST slightly smaller than the stock stivo wheel wich is good cus there already small enough

so

yeah thats it

its a pretty bad pic but off my cam phone

what do you guys think

i wanna hopefull get it put on in the next 2-3 weeks im in no rush its sat under the bed for a year so another minth isnt gonna hurt it

Don't do it man, it's got no airbag. You are only allowed to change your wheel that came with an airbag if you put on a new one with an airbag.

yeah but i dont want an air bag anyways ive herd too many stories of air bags not going off in bi crashes

but ive also herd heaps of stories about the airbags blowing up in your face with just a little side swipe that doesnt need air bags for

so personally i am not too keen or to put it better i dont TRUST the airbags anyways

Never heard off those happening to a Toyota.... different companies use different systems, the one in the Corolla is actually pretty good. You will defect your car not having an airbag...

Also, Grimlock doesn't drive a Sportivo so the step up to a more sporty steering wheel is a good one :D

you've got to be crazy to ditch your airbags. not very smart... having them there isn't going to kill you. not having them might...

p.s. levin steering wheel is so sexy to grab :D

Yes, its a good mod for a standard rolla, cause it just has this lame plastic, 4 spoke one.

I didn't know that the Sporitvo had the 3 spoke wheel. So i guess you people wouldn't want to swap it, i always thought only the Corolla levin came with the leather 3 spoke wheel.

The celica wheel has a smaller diameter to the stock wheel also.

You don't have to have airbags, some new cars are available without them, but once they're there, they have to stay there.

I have to say, although it wasn't leather, the factory airbag wheel on my 98 Starlet was a lovely wheel as well, thick rim with well-placed spokes.
