Hey mate , purchased my TRD Black pads through ebay for about 80-90 bucks from memory , no dramas with them and ive put 30k on the car with them in and still have heaps of meat left. Not to sure about what elses around but i know there are a few different brands you could go through.

Hope this helps.

yeh i might have to look into thise trd ones on ebay. i want to get my car ready for a few track days and powercruise so i want to be able to stop and not go straight off because my brakes are like sponges

if u are tracking i suggest u go engine braking. worse thing is when the brakes fails when u really need them ie. emergency stops

yeh of course i will engine brake but still i would prefer to have a decent set of pad in case of emergency.. the pads i have in my car atm are **** you do a couple of hard stop on them from like 110 and they are a sponge i have no idea why but it think who ever had the car before me just put a sh!tty set in.. So brake pads are a must i think before i even think about tracking it..

all depends on how much you want to spend on pads....if you want track pads or just high performance pads for rd use.. there is always project mu, endless, and prices can vary from about 180 - 320ish another bang for buck pads are acre pads which JDM yard may have.

I wouldn't recommend engine braking as it increases the likelyhood of over revving. The engine compression, at the track, doesn't slow the car down with any noticable effect over the brakes themselves.

sorry should have made myself more clear. USE the brakes but with the engine brakes as well. i've tracked quite a few times and using both engine braking and brake pads is better than just using the brake pads/engine braking themselves.

hrmm i wldnt use engine braking unless u have a a spare engine lying around like a race team. blipping is gd for rev matching as u enter a corner but comes down to ur individual style.

anywayz back on topic - there are a few pads that are gd for the rolla.

QFM- A1RM is what im trying atm. ebc reds are ok to but heaps of dust i find.

I've been looking I might trying ringing up Dba to see if they have any brake pads in the track/street range which have apparently no brake dust I have no idea how that works but it would be nice
