1993 Camry SDV10 2.2L

I reckon the car manages less than 10km/L (70% urban traffic, 30% highway). Is there anything I can do to improve fuel efficiency?

There is also an oil leak. I have to top-up engine oil every now & then. I got a mechanic to check out the leak when I replaced the timing belt recently. But the leak is still there.

Are there an recommendations for reasonably priced auto shops in Brisbane (I'm willing to travel)?

Have you tried using 95 RON cos the type of fuel can help.

If your been using Ethanol fuel, that could cause the increase fuel consumption. As suggested, try using 95 RON for a few tankfuls. The extra cost will most likely be made up by better fuel consumption.

Is it an Auto or Manual? 8ishL/100km is factory, so if you are doing mostly city it wouldn't be too far off.

As far as the leak where is it coming from? Driver's/passenger side, top/bottom of the engine?

It's an auto, so I guess mileage isn't far off then.

I'm trying to do my own oil change. I used a spanner but the engine oil plug doesn't seem to bulge. Any advise?

To my understanding, on that model Camry, using Standard 91 RON fuel versus using 95 RON fuel would not make a difference in the fuel ecomomy that you would get.

Using E10 ethnol fuel would make the fuel economy worse.
