Cappuccino

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I know I have been a bit quiet of the past 12months with changing jobs I just don't have that much time in front of a PC like I use too. But I am now back in a Toyota. My Yellow Lexus IS200 is going to be sold as I just picked a Tornado Grey Manual GTS. All I can say is this car has exceed my expectations for a standard the car. The handle and the power are great. Power isn't as bad as what people are making it out to be. Its very useable if your in the right gear and more than enough to get in you trouble.

Here are some pics I took yesterday.

Downshiftaus recently asked for me to write an article....bare in mind this is the first time I had to write something and it is my opinion only.

http://www.downshiftaus.com/2012/wills-new-ft-86/

Car has hit just over 2,000kms and I am loving every minute of it. Since I was doing the above article I also decided to take some more pics. Hopefully new plates should be here this weekend.

Congrats on the new ride! Question, i noticed you had an extra switch next to the side mirror controls, does the GTS have folding mirrors?!? Cheers Steve!

Yep it sure does! Thankfully they didn't remove that when they imported them. Comes in real handy.

Good feedback!

First thing I would be doing is removing the dealer billboards (aka number plate surrounds). Makes a much cleaner look.

I wouldn't be able to handle anything hanging from the mirror, as it would swing around and probably hit me in the face when going around a nice/fun corner.

why don't you buy the optional pack, the spoiler is hot... I don't like the factory look of 86 without spoilers and skirts.I like NA cars, they roar at high RPM which is fun

Nice!!

So when are the mods coming? :spiteful:

Ive heard with just the intake and exhaust changed you get a heap more power as they are very restricted motors...

The local performance workshop claims that they can dyno tune a stock standard BRZ , and achieve 15nm more torque and 10kw more power.

They are also investigating exhaust mods.

Congratulations, I know a lot of people that have queued up for the GTS.. 17 month wait leaves me to queston whether it's really worth it..

Cant wait to see what you have instore for it :-) Congrats again

Very nice mate :) Mind if I ask where those first photos are taken, with the old petrol station and statue?

They were taken at Putty Road at the Halfway House. Really cool spot there is a guy there that does Sausage Sangas and Beacon and Egg Rolls.

Good feedback!

Yellow plates are only a tempory thing. Just waiting for my plates to come in....honestly it doesn't bother me I can't see it while I am driving ;)

If I want are shopping trolley I would head down to the local Coles. Aero pack does nothing for me and I wasn't going to pay extra 4k on top for something I would hate. Clean and simple is the way to go.

Love the new ride mate!

Cheers mate! We gotta catch up soon!

loving the interior, black and red stitching

One of the main reasons I went for the GTS. All the little extras.

This weekend at WTAC its going to be interesting to see what workshops have installed.

Interesting! :D

Thanks mate! I wouldn't hold your breath. The car is staying stock. Money spent on wheels etc I will be putting towards my Cappuccino when that car is finished then I may look at doing some stuff to the 86.
