G-Tech fun in the Stivo

Recommended Posts

It plugs into the cigarette lighter for power and is completely self contained. It mounts on the front windscreen with a suction cup.

It is basically an accelerometer (measures acceleration in "G"), with an electronic timer. From acceleration and time it determines speed - quite accurately too.

Newer models are self-levelling, this one needs to be "zeroed" before use with the car on a completely level road.

just an intake and a magnaflow. doubt my aerodynamic eyelids would help :P

i also did a BHP measurement and it spat out 140bhp @ wheels (102.9kw?). the figures prolly aren't really really accurate but they sound close enough anyway.

i think it might be the rubber. wat are u running oz_viking

i just did a 7.4s average and a best 7.2 0-100 off a g-tech pro. the road was a little co**** so i think the grip was slightly better.

Shaohaok, did you get a clean 1-2 shift landing 6000rpm and above?

oz - I think it has to do with us QLD drivers :P not the mods ....hehehe

Shao - be interesting for us QLD boys to get all 3 together and have a g-tech session and get a vary of figures

Stoopid - we'll have a go at the 1/4 mile down your way also at the same time :D

140 bhp at the wheels means your mods have been as effective as Peekay's, including the Unichip....

I've got the supplied Turanza rubber, which as I've said elsewhere is actually quite good.

Peekay has more than 103kw, trust me ive been in his car, he would leave most if not all of us behind. Every dyno is different, ive seen his dyno sheet, and his car wasn' tested in shootout mode, if it were,it would spit out 125+.
