open the front passenger side door. theres a sticker on the side that shoes some of the car details, that includes the colour code.

Hiyas,

What information on your plate is listed? The colour code should be a 3 character code. Something like 8Q3.

Another place where it could possibly be is in your service and warranty manual. Sometimes dealerships will stick a piece of paper to the front inner cover of the manual with vehicle information. Included in this information should be a colour code with a description of the colour code.

Hiyas,

Yes the colour of your car paint is 8P4. The transmission/axel and plant/build are irrelevant.

If you want to be 100% sure about your colour you could compare it to the information in your service and warranty manual.

Also sometimes it is on your roadworthy and registration certificate, however it's not normally the code just a shortened version of the word i.e. BLU. Still could be worth a try though to confirm it.

wtf~!!!

These days we have a wagon, but when I had my Starlet hatch, it was noted on the rego as a sedan. In part of my job, I have to enter REVS details for leases, and with something like a Corolla, if its a sedan or hatch, we have to put "sedan" as the body type. I've asked, but no-one can tell me why.
