Just say you had king springs in anyway, take em out and put back in the stock ones so that you can claim warranty on defected shocks.

If your rears are leaking that much then your fronts are prolly as bad if not worse. There's a superceeded part number for the rear struts (Jap part no) and the fronts are still the same. Had mine done(all 4) earlier this year.

the other 3 shocks looks ok, but i'm getting toyota to check em out as part of my 20,000km service.

probably get toyota to replace both rears or all 4 shockies if possible :)

what are the jap part no for the rear strut?

Anyone have prices for KYB shocks? I am looking at replacing them soon with either Konis or KYBs, can't be bothered with stock shocks.

Btw guys what are the signs and symptoms of worn shocks besides seeing an oil leak? Sometimes its just hard to notice the oil. I know some guys in the past say they hear "knocking" sounds, are they soft, loud, metallic, squeashy or what? I think the only clicking/clunking sound i hear sometimes might come from either the rear swaybar, or front/rear shorter bumpstops, or even the front strutbar. I'm not too fussed abt noises though, its more the driving feel. How can we "feel" for the problem?

Mmmm sounds about right if you convert it to rands

I have investigated KYB options and could only be told that they only do a replacement for the standard strut that's non adjustable and is basically the same. Prices weren't available at this time but may be now.

Far out! That is expensive install!!

I had new struts and coils, plus a CES catback exhaust installed for $330!
