Hi all,

Recently while driving a large spring (the coil is about about 2cms across) snapped and feel to the floor under my clutch foot. It appears to have been in place beneath the clutch pedal and I can only imagine it's some sort of coil to soften or alter the pedal travel.

The pedal now seems to be a smidge stiffer and travels less but otherwise the change is minimal.

So, my question is (are): What is this spring and do I need it? Will there be a long-term effect of leaving it as is or should I make the effort to replace it? (I actually quite like the new feel!)

Thanks!

Might have to give that one a go myself then! :)

Thanks!

Labour is that much because it is a royal pain in the ***** to do. And the spring is there to help the pedal spring back up right to the top, isn't it?

Indeed, replace it.
