Im talking about a liftback design that looks like the sedan, however the glass also lifts up too.

Bit like the Mazda 6 design... the Mazda6 sedan and hatch look very similar, except the mazda 6 rear glass bit lifts up too.

I'll be keeping the sportivo.

Later on in life I'll be grabbing something like an AE86 or R32 for a project car. I miss being able to tinker and do things myself.

Ok so i think what toyota is trying to say here is 3 things

1. The car wont be made in South Africa
   
2. They will make sure the right ECU will be in the car & no dodgy gear selector cables or clutch adjustments required
   
3. They may decide to give this thing some performance rather than take it away as they have done with the current 1zz range
   

All im gonna say if this happen is ABOUT F@#$ TIME TOYOTA !!!!!!!!!!! only 2 years to late that's all

The first model corolla i don't like...ehhhh it looks all euorpean pretendy imho (at least the front does...), not a fan of the interior either.

Hopefully the hatchback will be nicer.
