Rim stud holes are about 15mm wide, toyota thread is M12, will the 3mm gap be a problem if i use a tapered nut?

Using hub rings so bore fits well.

Only use a tapered nut if the rim has a tapered hole.

Any pics of what you are referring to?

Firstly are the aftermarket wheels?

If they are i believe you have wheels that also suit 5X115, ie some dodge and Chrysler . These wheel have a bigger nut hole so it will fit both 5x114.3 and 5x115

If so the MUST have a large taper wheel nut or they may come loose.

If they are stock toyota, they have a large nut hole anyway and must just the shank style wheel nut.
