Hi.

I'm looking at buying a Toyota this year. I see there are more hybrid models to choose from.

What would be the current price to replace a hybrid battery for either a Camry or a Prius? Has the price of new hybrid batteries gone down over the years?

Thanks.

Still massively overpriced.

What’s the trend, though? I’d like to know if there’s any reduction in price and what that is, no matter how small, on a yearly basis.

I would expect the trend to be very much dependent upon the size of the market. In my opinion, still not enough demand and therefore only a limited number of suppliers. From what I have read in internet posts, it looks like going to wreckers for a used battery about 3-4 years old is a popular solution.
