Clutch problem on a hot day

I have a 2016 low km Corolla manual hatch. Normally fun to drive but on a recent 40 deg day I had major problems trying to engage gears. Any ideas what the problem might be? Brake/clutch fluid fine.

This internet post is worth reading. Good tip to determine if it is the clutch master cylinder that needs to be replaced.

Looked at some other internet posts and they were recommending doing a fluid flush and replace with new fluid.

I'd ask the question as to when the clutch fluid was last replaced. Low Kays don't really mean much as clutch and brake fluid is hygroscopic regardless of KLMS. It should be replaced every two years or less. It's also possible you may be leaking fluid and not not getting enough hydraulic actuation from the slave cylinder.

I'd book it in for a service as soon as possible. Let us know what they find.
