2006 toyota aurion presara navigation owners manual

Recommended Posts

Are you saying you need one ? Didn't you get the books with your car

I was able to find this PDF for the Aurion 40 series Navigation System. Not sure if it is specific to what you have but it's worth looking at. Have a flick through and let us know if it works for you.

hey tony thanks for the navigation info, have you any info on getting the navigation dvd resurfaced or can i get a backup copy done, it says you may get wrong information because of a scratched dvd. the reason i needed info on the nav system is when i type in an address it sometimes cant find the number,  the price of  ver17 dvd here in adelaide is $388. thank you robin sonntag

Is the DVD you have badly scratched ? If there are many superficial scratches it may interfere with the reader so yes it is possible to  resurface the disc. There are dvd disc polishing machines available pretty cheap online if this is something you'd like to explore. Another method would be to get a copy disc made. I would be certain that there are guys on this forum with a DVD for the 40 series Presara S.N system who could probably help.

I'm not too sure on the 40 series head unit, but there are others who have upgraded theirs who may chime in and share some information.

Alternatively, you can search up aftermarket head units for "Aurion" on Ebay  and this will give you an idea the size and specs. The aftermarket will be android based so it will be more user friendly than the rubbish Toyota put in their cars. I don't have sat nav in my Prodigy and don't care about not having one either. I just use my phone with Google Maps. Google Maps is supremely good.

Hi Robin, As tony said there are a lot of aftermarket head-unit's that will do the job your after, I replaced ours with a nice Clarion unit (photos on my profile on here if you wish to see it installed)but buy the best quality unit you can afford is my advise. I would suggest you contact or search online the good quality car audio stores in your area, as buying online has good and bad things attached to it. I always prefer to go into a store and check out in person what I am after that way you can ask questions and physically see all the things available. A lot of sales coming up I am sure as we creep towards Christmas and New Year, so they could also make it a bit cheaper for you.

I am not sure if the original Head Unit in our 2009 Presara is 6 inches I think it was, All I know is when Monster Audio installed the Clarion unit they also had the perfect colour trim surround that made it a great swap out. Let us know how you get on Robin and if you need any more information or help

Do you know of any company in Adelaide that sell these systems  and install them. Thank you robin

No. We're both in N.S.W. You can do a local search of "Car Audio Shop" and see what pops up. I'm certain you will find plenty over there.

Hi Robin, Yes there would be a lot of Car Audio Specialist's around your way but check online first see what they offer, I then try and narrow the search to the one I like and see how the prices at various places compare, Then give the place a call and discuss what you wish, I went with them installing our unit as they are the professionals and a new head unit will need the cables so your steering wheel functions work with the new unit unless you don't intend using those. So look online find what you like research the head unit never hurts either, read reviews on the unit then a phone call or drop in and see them. Just make sure you try and buy the best you can for the price you can afford, our head unit came with an up to date GPS card with a free update available online.

Good Luck keep us updated and maybe a few pic's of your car and anything you end up with, we love seeing others cars.
