For free weights, stand up as it promotes better balance, but for curls, sit down because you can isolate the guns (biceps), And don't forget to do the triceps which is actually more important that the biceps.

sit down, back straight and extend your arm by lifting the dumbbell from behind your head into the air.

Whoops I did those while standing up.

Thanks for the tips guys, ill do a bit more research as ive heard quite a few people have gotten strains and injuries from using dumbbells don't want to be part of that statistic.

Thought I'd add that I'm glad no one has bugged me about my avatar this time.

I find it funny how people thought a fat kid jumping up and down was more disturbing than a pin-headed demon that tears people apart with hooked chains :)

The person in my avatar was once 'Captain Spencer', part of a british regiment in the 1st world war. He found a small box known as 'the lament configuration'. This box is the centerpoint between hell and earth. After unlocking it he was thrown into hell, tortured beyond belief and was placed as the 1st Lieutenant under Lucifer.

He is Pinhead. Explorer of the farthest regions of suffering and pain. Demon to many, Angel to some, and the beginning of Satans army.

Why was he tortured?

"You must know pain to deliver it..."

Watch Hellraiser, it'll explain it a bit more :)

PS: Phil, after you've watched the movie you'll see that he is, 'artistic' to an extent hehe :P

He is in all of them dude.

Hellraiser I is very sketchy on him and where he is from, number II however 'opens' the story up to you more. He's a very interesting character. Not your average demon hehe.
