1ZZ-FE rev limiter?

Hey Everyone,

Just a quick question. Does the 2005 Conquest have a rev limiter? The redline's @ 6200rpm...I revved it up to that today and when i got to 6200rpm, it felt really weird so I change into 2nd.

wierd kind of like the car suddenly cut power? that's what the rev limiter feels like

Yeah it's got a rev limiter.

First time I hit it surprised me, accelerating in 2nd & then it felt like hitting a brick wall...

it's possible it was lowered with addition of the electronic throttle body on the newer rollas

I have an 02 Levin and it cuts at 6400RPM even says in the book :)

Affirmative, 02 Conquest and the cut is 6300-6400rpm, most annoying...

Yeah the rev limiter cut me out at 6200...they must've lowered it to 6200 in the newer models. I soo want a 2ZZ-FE <_< LOL! Well thanks very much for the reponses guys. ^_^

Yeah my 02 conquest goes a lil' past the redline section of the speedo and if you change it juuuust right you get a mad shift without hittin the limiter

On the Dyno day's we've seen it vary from 6200 to 6500. Mine seems to cut in bang on at 6300
