Now I'll pull you up there Mish. As a musician Australian Idol is the biggest capitalist sellout show I can think of. They shatter dreams, they don't create them. Where's Casey? Where's Anthony? Where's Guy?

Oh come on I keep seeing Shannon in his big black shinny car

Come on, Aussie Idol has done wonders for Shaza Noel!!

Casey is fighting against depression,

Anthony is a gay singer i think or a cover model or fashion designer ( something along those lines)

and Guy is touring the Christian Music World

It's what they make out of it, really

Bring back Biggest Loser - at least that show makes you feel good about other ppls achievments

Prior to their Idol 'experience'.... a lot of them were already actively involved in music.

Guy Sebastion - Accredited music teacher who also played in various Christian Bands.

Casey Chambers - Was studying at a Music College in Sydney.

Anthony Callea - Performed in various local bands.

Rikki-Lee Coulter - Performed in various local bands.

Paulini - Performed in various christian bands.

Kate De Rouge (I dunno how to spell it) - Performed in various local bands.

I think Shannon was one of the few who went from nothings to something. Ok, he may not be a continual #1 artist, but he's still selling records, his songs are being used and marketed and he has attracted many other gigs. He's probably been the most successful of them all. (That is if you don't include Andrew G's appearances in the Ford commercials with Jacki O)....

Back to Big Brother through, maybe it is time for BB to pack up. Maybe we've seen enough of it.... Who knows. What I do know is, it's almost over and when it is, it will be at least 9 months beofre I have to see up Gretal Killeen's nose again....
