lmao... oh yeaaaa forgot about the amp... but then again bassposse was just asking about the sub... i'm HOPING :g: that he has a good amp lol

ofcourse a system is only as good as its weakest link... remember that son :D

oh and don't forget... tune tune tune... tune it yourself because what an installer thinks sounds good may sound like cr4p to u... we all have different tastes

Posted

but what confused me was that he said it was a mono block two channel?

did he... lol

maybe he means a bridged two channel :P

Posted

yeah im not trying to have a go, prob should have asked the question, is it mono or 2 channel?

you can get get 2 channel mono block amps... kinda confusing but there designed to be bridged as a single channel. but i doubt thats what this is as there not that common and not that cheep

anyway an amp means two fiths of **** all most the time. for day to day listning you probly wouldnt know the difference between a mediocor amp and a hi end amp.

soon as you start the car any improvement go's out the window.

if you want to compete in SQ comps then sure, get the best you can.

MR and MSROLA - what store does MRROLA work at?

i have spent 10 years and $30,000 on car audio. it wasnt till 2 years ago i started to be able to hear little differences and subtles in the music and the charicteristics of speakers and amps.

you will hear more difference from a better quality sub than you will a better quality amp

Well he did ask for a sub, so I did not question his amp. Fuddbutter is also right on how more of difference can be heard with a better speaker then a better amp.

With regards to my comments to how corners and flat panels are not good for enclosures, I wasn't 100% sure on that. But it was quoted out of a Hi-Fi magazine, with egg like speakers going for about 5000 UK Pound.

I hope this thread does not go astray...

ok to try and clear thing up about the amp

this is what i found on the net about the amp...

The V12 AccuClass-D amps deliver massive amounts of power for driving subwoofers as hard as you want to. Theyre the only amps on the market with a true digital design. This keeps the signal purer and makes them extremely efficient. Another big benefit is that they use digital signal processing to provide time correction and other sophisticated controlsall controlled through the Alpine Digital Control Center located under the top mounted access panel. If your system requires more than one of these awesome amplifiers. Alpine also has an Amplifier Link unit that lets you connect as many as eight of these powerhouses and control them from the head unit.

it is ONE channel not two ...my bad
