want to have it cleaned up i think i will show toyota and see what they say as everything else looks new but that part.

road dust, grease and grime... same as what's on the other hoses and insulation.

the plastic gets hot, it softens, the grime beds in, you cannot wash it off easily.

scotch brite pad and degreaser usually cleans it up pretty well.

Do other cars' engine bays get so filthy??? Mine gets dirty all too often :(

The engine on my car was starting to get dirty, I decided to clean it, and ended up spending most of last weekend cleaning & detailing the car (inside and out), including an oil change

last week a toyota guy looked at it and sprayed something onto that part and now it looks new again :)
