  1. I have tracked 3 times now in the ZRE with stock brake rotors, pads and calipers. Still fine to this day. Le.vinh.zr is awaiting his order of Dixon (JDM brand) slotted rotors + calipers + brake pads = mass braking sexytime. Be aware of the price though Our standard brakes are fine for street use and even so on track. But if your looking for an upgrade, i'd go Fronts Slotted Rotors and upgrade pads all round. No need to bother with slotted rotors at rear because you wont use them. Me and Dwee looking into brake upgrade too, pads will be fine even with stock rotors. Just need something to help us brake later and stop earlier. Dont have to go all out on this area of mods (Depending on your application, if your street/track use and how hard/often you brake) as we dont have enough power to require such brutal stopping force. :P But my recommendation would definitely be change of pads, im also waiting for some aftermarket available pads. I was looking in the way of Ferodo. QFM sounds like the biz or Project MU or Bendix or Ferodo or if you can afford it... AP Racing? lol
  2. Injen CAI + 3A Racing pod filter + Simota oil = Like BGPete said you do lose a bit of response in the low rev range but gain some mass suckage. So far no levin ZR installs have had any problems to date except in the beginning. Although an ascent zre member's install still did and threw CEL (Check engine light) consistently. This was eliminated by using electrical spray on the maf sensor *beware MAF sensor very sensitive* and pod filter oil for us Levin owners. The ascent still couldnt be rectified. <_< Install took approx 3hrs (DIY + 1st time install + being careful) I ended up changing the pod to 3A Racing seeing as its rate highly for flow/filtration and oiled it. The 3A Racing pod also helped in eliminated any further CEL. Lasted 2-3 cruises, 2 track days and still going strong and no CEL to this day. :D 3A Racing Pod vs Injen Pod w/Injen Hydroshield Final position with 3A Racing Pod (Yellow DIY electrical tape weatherproofing) :P Any questions or need help, just holler
  3. just got home.. =/

  4. good for spare parts. but how trustworthy is it? hrmmm
  5. I used warm water in a bucket and a sponge to clean mine. That tyreshine gel seems to work a treat, much longer lasting too. No need to worry about overspray from the 5dollar tyreshine can no more.
  6. close call Lee. Hope you recover soon from it. A full rollcage would complete the Hilux into a tank. :P
  7. green shoelaces once.. from a Nesquik competition. It was the best thing ever when i was 10.
  8. Why cant the FT-86 just stay the way it was 1-2yrs ago?? <_<
  9. Someones got too much time on their hands i think..
  10. Drop of birdpoop is the worse to get on your paintwork. Try to clean off immediately after seeing it, either with high pressure wash or wipe off and get Bug/Tar Remover and clean. Leaving the bird poop on the paint just for one nite will damage your paint, it is acidic. Sometimes it cant be avoided, such is life. <_<
  11. Sorry mate, you cant just advertise your car on this Forum. There are certain Terms & Conditions to Sell your car here. Please delete this or it will be removed.
  12. Show off... I know there's a reason why you wanna go on this one. :P
  13. Powdercoating the wheels trung? hot pink? hey, its something different. Definitely spot you on track then amidst the other 3-4 AEs!
  14. For that about of money your willing to spend.. turbocharging or supercharging the 2ZR-FE will get you better results. Even if you stay N/A, just do more engine work; bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, aftermarket ECU, headers, full exhaust etc. These are cheaper mods than swapping any engine and will still give you good gains.
  15. Replacement slotted rotors me thinks..
  16. 17x7 should be able to go +35 offset, nice and phat but 37+ or 38+ is pretty flush.
