  1. yea i dunno just my personal opinion, i don't reckon the aircon in the Aurion is anything special. i was in my friends 05 Astra and it seemed much better in comparison to the Aurion Got to remember that the astra has much less cabin space than the aurion... I've never really had an issue with the coldness of the aurion air con... I actually find that even on the warmest days the air con gets too cold... Especially in the foot wells
  2. Spotted a very nice white LS200 dropped on 19 or 20 inch rims tonight at around 11:40pm on Sunnyholt Road blacktown.
  3. Sorry guys, gonna have to change to being a 'maybe' as I was asked to work on the weekend (going to see if I can avoid it though)
  4. Myself and the missus are likely to be there with the Aurion.
  5. Mate, thats brilliant... Be good to see the government get behind an ad like this.
  6. Just ordered mine (Waiting for payment details) Have to say dealing with Matt is brilliant, can't wait to get my hands on the unit as this has been on my list of things to do since I found out the Auspak units existed and these seem even better.
  7. I find going down hill that the car usually will engine brake sufficiently to stop you from going more than 10kph over your set speed... I don't mind the way it works. That said, cruise control really is designed for flat, straight roads... Use your brake if you don't want to speed.... CC is very easy to reenable at your desired speed anyhow.
  8. Keep spotting Kh00ry in my street... Either lives near by or is local to the area.
  9. There are three or four of these in blacktown... I see the green one on prospect hwy just about everyday... There is a red one that hangs around doonside... Overall if it has a chev badge chances are it's a cop in the blacktown area
  10. Spotted a blue aurion tearing down Rachael close silverwater today... Didn't catch the plate but the car had some exhaust work done... Sounded great

  12. The grills pictured here in all come from Thailand.. They arrive matt black (as shown by almost everyone) and arrive with a black mesh... Changing the mesh is very easy to do and involves a trip to supercheap (they sell the mesh) and some replacement cable ties (the mesh is only cable tied on) The grill mod overall is probably the best available looking exterior mod for the Aurion, I highly recommend doing it as it completely changes the look of the front end. My plan is to replace the mesh with something slightly finer and after th discussion of the thread here, I'll likely end up meshing my bottom grill at the same time.
  13. I live close by and I am surprised I have never seen your car around Wulf.. Good choice on mods, it is looking great... You should mesh the bottom grill, I did mine last week and it adds that extra touch that would complete your front. Thats next on my list of things to do... Probably never see me because I usually head to work around 5 and don't get back til around 8... cost of earning money sadly. Not sure on how to approach the lower grill, drilling holes in things was never something I have been comfortable with...
  14. Sorry - only pic I have with mine is with eyelids (installed at the same time)
  15. Do I understand you correctly that hitting a wet mud road with VSC+Traction turned on makes the car slide more than without it? I've only used the Commodore with TRC in the wet and believe it to be very good for inexperienced drivers. Actually, here in Saudi Arabia, we have dry heat or dry cold, so the maximum you get are sandstorms in the extreme heat of June-August and rainy season for 2-4months between Nov-Feb. So, over here VSC/TRC is only useful during the winter if it rains. The VSC in the Aurion works exceptionally well on muddy tracks, it saved my wifes butt on atleast one occasion when she hit a puddle big enough to send the car sideways... the VSC straightened the car out before she could react.
  16. I have just recently bought my Aurion and I'm noticing a similar issue to this. It doesn't flare, but the change from 1st to 2nd feels a bit rough, and the gear change is very noticable. Has anybody had any success getting this issue rectified? Gave up arguing with Toyota after a month... I figure if it does go then I've built a case at least.
  17. First image no longer loads for me... Was looking forward to having a look too.
  18. Have to wonder if that is an accident. :) His name could be Ted. :)
  19. damn true there eviltwin D35 Look, I need to defend Lander a little... Had a great experience with their used car people at KIA/Nissan today... Bought a 2006 Mazda 2 for the wife (thank god, now my Aurion won't cop all of the damage) and had nothing but good dealings with them... Mind you, they were a little pushy on the 'paint protection' but a little rudeness got her away from me pretty quick. ur a lucky guy! poor me.. :( Spoke too soon, turns out that the 2006 mazda I bought was actually a 2003 (didn't think to check the compliance plate) - Absolutely blew my stack when I figured it out yesterday... Took them til 4pm today to sort out getting us a 2006 model that we paid for... Unfortunately though, I failed to convince them that they had to charge us the same price as we paid for the original car and ended up having to fork out an extra $400... I'm really disappointed by the experience as I thought I had actually dealt with some decent people at the dealership but obviously this is not the case. So, to reenforce earlier conversation, stay away from them!
  20. Used to wash mine monthly but with the new job (I thought concrete plants were dirty!) I've been allocated a parking spot under a tree that likes to drop a lot of pollen... So recently I've been washing it weekly... Never polish it, too afraid I'll stuff it up... But I plan to learn soon enough as the missus is getting me a kit from http://www.zainobros.com.au/ for my upcoming birthday... Looking forward to that... mmm.. does the swirl remover/hider work? No matter what I've tried (buffing etc) it has not removed my swirls... Thinking about doing a full respray on the Aurion soon, will probably go a non-factory colour.
  21. Stuck on the M4 during it, luckily there was only rain... heard it hailed in bankstown earlier?
