  1. Absolutely spot on, even in his 70's (possibly 80's?) he still is not a person I'd have on my list of wanting to meet in a dark alley.
  2. Mr Eastwood definitely deserves a mention!
  3. You're not going to earn any friends here by speaking like that. DJKOR is a very respected member of our community and has given A LOT in terms of knowledge to all of us.
  4. I love that RainX. When you're stationary, you see the water slowly building up then running off the windscreen. Go fast though, and it clears your windscreen extremely well. I want something just like that but for the paintwork of the car. Went looking for some RainX today, wheres the best place to get it?
  5. Thanks guys, I ended up picking up Bosch Aero (BBA500 passanger and BBA600 driver for those who cannot be bothered flicking through the books) absolutely fixed my problem. Were $$$ but definitely worth it.
  6. Pointless reply as I don't use my phone for a GPS, but the iPhone fits comfortably in the drink holder (minus the divider) Had an N95 that I used for a long while and occasionally used as a GPS in my commodore... My solution was to use a accessory (lighter) to USB adapter and a USB extension cable... Wasn't pretty but wasn't permanent either.
  7. Any news mate? Keen to hear some good news about your ride.
  8. I think a typical circuit club day would be around $150 ~ $200 If its your first time, I'm also happy to ride with you or you can ride with me.. Wakefield is actually pretty cheap... It's like $110 a day if I remember rightly.
  9. Matey, I'm certainly keen to join in on a track day pending money to spare etc, but count me in.
  10. The issue is more that the wiper leaves streaks and also does not clean the water off the window (it simply passes OVER the water and does not seem to conform to the shape of the wind shield) I'll grab a set of the Bosch ones tomorrow anyway. Thanks for the feedback guys.
  11. Guys, I'm really curious as to what blades you all use? I've tried the genuine ones from Toyota, I've tried the cheap aftermarket 'universal' ones and I've tried a couple in between. I have a real issue with the way that none of these blades push water away from the windshield straight infront of me. My mother in law reported similar problems with her 1999 Camry which we managed to fix with the 'coloured' blades that don't really work on other cars. So, has anyone cared enough about this to seek a solution or am I just being silly sensitive to a little water in my field of view?

    cops

Couldn't agree more, people driving around with their fogs on in good weather is a pet peeve of mine. Sorry you got done for something they /never/ enforce, cop must've had a real bad day.

  14. Exchanged flashes with a Silver Aurion Sportivo on blacktown road at around 7:10am this morning... Had white euro plates (sorry, was half asleep on my way to work)
  15. Yep, Even had toyota comment on the gaps in the passanger front panels on mine, complained about the passanger front door closing loudly (petty I know) - They tried to tell me the vehicle had been in an accident despite me having a full documented history of the car. small variations, gaps are between 2-3mm out compared to the drivers side.
  16. Wulf nice one.......there few us out west that need to catch up soon and do photo shoot at nepean river :D AUR30N I'm keen for that...
  17. Colour coded mine, put them on a week or two ago.
  18. Saw this, thought it might interest you. :) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BC-Adjustable-Coilo...%3A1%7C294%3A50
  19. A few different things on the track... Mate didn't believe I could smoke his LS1 statesman... proved him wrong Beat a WRX (no idea what type, not my type of car sorry) down the quarter mile Outrun an old corvette (probably the most fun victory I've ever had) Went toe to toe with a Charger and a Valient Most of those were stockers though... Get smoked by some of the newer Fords (FPVs etc) It's a great car matey, just remember to drive safe on the streets.
  20. There is also paint damage to the dent... Been to these guys before and was under the impression that they can't fix paint?
  21. By the way, is there anything non-perminant I can treat the bits where the paint has been scratched off to protect the bare metal for a few weeks until I can scrounge up some money?
  22. Morning guys, Sorry, just need to vent. For some reason, it seems to help. I've lived in a house in blacktown for the last 6 months and up until now, never had a problem. Last night around 10:30 I was alerted to some trouble starting by the sound of banging, which I identified as about 6 teenagers kicking up my colourbond fence. I called the police as they were making a lot of noise (and what later turned out to be graffiti) and had police attendance within about 5 minutes but unfortunately they had already moved on. About 45 minutes later I was alerted by the same banging, yelling and so forth... I looked out the window but at this point, there was no way I was going outside as there was around 30 of the little mongrals... This time, they decided to this time they wanted to leave a lasting impression on me by throwing beer bottles at my Aurion, resulting in a damaged A pillar and the car being covered in glass (I can't tell how much damage there is to the paint as the car is still wet from not being put in last night) To my frustration, it took the police 3 hours to make an appearance the second time around and only then it was because we'd given up on them coming out and called the station to make sure they were coming (so we could at least get a police report for insurance purposes out of it) - I called my insurance company this morning and confirmed that if I make a claim, I've got to pay the excess (not to mention higher premiums for years to come too) so I'll have to compare the cost of that to the cost of fixing the car out of my own pocket. Really disappointed that this is how my babys 60,000km birthday ended. :(
  23. I agree... But the point a few of us are trying to raise is to do with the topic, rather than the moral high ground... If you don't like the consequences, don't speed. People will always try to get away with what they can and teaching new drivers skills required to avoid other drivers who do not show the level of care required to drive a 1 1/2 to 3 ton missile on wheels is an unfortunately thing that has to be done.
