Ok, ANY auto owners out there that have had positive results with larger diameter exhuasts?

Hey, to all those that have/had stivo cat backs put into a 1zze. I'm wondering if what i'm getting is normal. After the zorst went in, i did a ecu reset but now the top end of the engine power seems to be harder to reach. Mine's an auto and when flooring it, it doesn't seem to pull as hard. engine "roar" has decrease somewhat as well when hitting high revs. Is it normal? Or am i just not used to it yet?

Welcome to the forums! WHere are u located? Your Ascent (like all outher non-sportivo corollas) will be a 1ZZE, which refers to our engine type. AS for your question, do a serach on the forum for stock toyota headunit wiring, u'll find the pin laout will have a ignition (+) line, and thats the one u need. Almost all head units today will have a wire to input this to, and this will control the ig on/off of the unit!

Didn't the guys talk about a camcon unit that did something similar?

Thats a real novel way of doin it! much easier than the other DIY methods that i've thought of. i'm going to try a varient on this that involves securing the filer to the top bit of the box but then leaving the bottom bit of the box there to catch the cold air (I've already done the stock intake redirection). I'll have spacers holdin the 2 parts of the box apart to allow for the short ram benefits of increase throttle response and perhaps this perform better than my unshielded pod!
