Hi boys, I actually watched the segment. And the car will not go into production, it was designed to leech great ideas off Auzzie teenagers to put into future cars. They reakon the car cost 2.2 million to build (I don't see why not with all that custom electronics and etc etc prototyped for it.) So i don't think they'll let us take it for a spin. But it runs on a turbocharged 2.2l v6 camry engine on the current camry chassis.

Hey, this may sound ignorant but 1000-1500 for a turbo seems really pricey...I've seen some from wreckers or recond ones for like $100 ! And don't you need some sorta ecu upgrade to handle the extra boost?

super charger kit for stivos? I seem to remember an article on the forum talking about a conversion to turbo on a 2zze (the article mentioned the compression rtaio of 15 and vvtiL hence I'm assuming it was a 2zze) but no the bolt on trd kit is for the 1zze

I guess it depends on the design and how fancy it is. If you've got mates in a TAFE or similar that have access to some metalworking tools its a good possibility to make some one offs with sheet metal

Hi all, So I've given up on finding projector lights for the 'rolla, but I"ve been reading some interesting DIY guides on making Angel Eye halos (just like in the BMWs) so here's the thing, HOw do you open up the head light pod to place the halo in once u've made it? And how do you wire in the halos anyway? I'm assuming that straight into the battery via a switch and a relay might blow the halo coz its just resistors and LEDs ideas? Experiences?

Well dude, how much u wanna spend and how long will your current breaks last? that TRD shop in singapore has TRD pads in stock for S$230 (minus about 25% to aust dollar) so if you call them they'd probably fed-ex it to u within a week. www.trd.com.sg i think

Hey boys, I'm a Singapore fella and i'll give you the dirt. it is about 20 - 30 min from the airport. i just spoke to the guy and the head lights on that car we see are stock but they put in a HID conversion kit (S$1400) oh and TRD break pads are S$230 a set.

Well, I agree with the other guys on this but If you really want to get turbo or super charged why not buy the TRD kits for that? it'll cost you about 5-6k auzzie all up. I mean, the 1zze and 2zze engines are great platforms!

ok boys, last night I bought a wrx (yes a wrx) CAI kit and used the front bit of the pipe as a short ram intake... so i've got the other bit of pipe and an extra pod now. thsi dual intake thing is going to happen... i just need one more throttle body pipe! anybody?

Hey guys, i was just staring at the BIG opening on the left side of the engine bay behind the lights and am now playing with the idea of a dual intake. I'm thinking this will Y junction out after the MAF sensor. What do you guys think? my theory is even if overall air flow is still about the same. the temp and density will be different ... but that may be just my engineering getting a bit rusty. oh... on that note, any one have a wrecked rolla that can donate stuff to me for this experiment? most particularly i'm thinking of a stock Air box and that silicon pipe that attaches it to the TB.

Hey Danz, Is that DIY intake still in your car? How does it work out? Ok, I'm going to ask some newbie questions but the sound that you all describe and associate with CAIs. Will I get that sound with a short ram intake? And Will I get that sound if i do a DIY like yours? and if you could post up how you did yours that would be great. (it looks like u just cut a hole in your stock tubing and stuck it into the pod neck.)

Hi all, I see a lot of stivo owners here but where are all the brother's that could only afford the normal 'rolla? I've got a '02 Ascent and I love it but can I get tips on making it more punchy and improve accleration? I've got a budget of of A$500ish and was considering the CAI , anything else that i can do? p.s. ok call me ignorant but can someone tell me what the difference in the stivo and my 'rolla 's engine? i mean where the hell did they squeeze another 41 KW out?

Hmm... this may not be much of a record but what the hell i'll just throw it in here anyway. Fastest swapping over of head unit (stock to stock upgrade) 15 min. all thanks to all the tips in the forum. and that includes presetting all the stations again and loading the 6 stacker.
