I learnt the hardway last night to look after your MAF sensor especially whilst cleaning it. Whilst cleaning mine last night a friend of mine came up behind me and thought it would be fun to scare me whilst i was holding the MAF in my hands........... CRASH....the maf hit the floor and one of the elemnets inside was damaged and the car would not run properly becuase of it. Lukily I was able to find a spare from a wreckers...but the ORIGINLAL REPLACEMENT from TMCA can cost upwards of $400!!!!!!!!! Other companies like EMF, ACE and other Auto Electric suppliers do them from $280 - $350 SO BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!

I too beleive in karma but my story is one of NEGATIVE karma not positive...and how it works in all shapes and forms... Whilst on a holiday recently with my girlfriend I picked up a rock on the beach and threw it into the sand near some seagulls....hoping to hit the sand and make them fly away..... Unfortunatley the rock changed trajectory and KO'd one of the seagulls...giving it a REALLY bad headache and making it bleed from its eyes.... We quickly picked it u[p swam across a river and took it to a RSPCA office and told them what happened......we felt a little better for doing so...but i still felt REALLY BAD!!! now for the karma.. 3 Weeks ago a mate from work invited me around to play boccee ........ this is an italian game similar to lawn bowls although you throw the balls you dont roll them.... Now bare in mind that these balls are made of STEEL and are larger than a cricketball and weight 7 POUNDS!!!!!!! thats almost 2 KG Well after eleventy billion beers my mate and i decided to play a quick game whilst our partners were out getting desert..... For some reason my mate threw one of the balls at me to catch when i was bent down...as i stood up it connected with me fair in the eye...smashing my glasses...going stright into my eye ,,...... making a mess of my face and alot of blood too..... :( THATS KARMA!!!!!!!

If you have a K&N Cleaning kit then you can simply follow the instrustions inside ;) For those who dont have a cleaning kit or have used it and are running low on either part of the kit here is a generic guide to cleaning your pod filter. 1 - Remove the pod from the Intake (hopefully you put it there in the first place so i dont have to tell you how to do this!! ) 2 - The preferred method is to use the supplied cleaning agent or a liquid detergent (washing-up liquid) and 'WARM' water to remove the dust/dirt. You can also clean the filter in a bath of petrol if nes. 3 - Massage the foam firmly in your hands whilst in the water, this will help remove dirt particles. UNDER NO CIRCUSTANCES SHOULD THE FILTER BE LEFT TO SOAK!!!!!!!!! (this is paramount for ITG filters as in water, time will break down the adhesives) 4 - Rinse the filter wil lots of clean water. Again massaging the filter to help get rid of all the soap. 5 - Allow the filter to air dry COMPLETELY. If you are in a rush you can shake the filter in a circular motion with your arm but BE CAREFUL that there is not too much water in the filter (esp. ITG) as the centrifical force can pull the adhesive apart. 6 - Oil the filter using either the K&N oil supplied, JDR-1 Dust Retention Oil (ITG) or Silkolene or other compatible product. Spray the oil giving a medium covering all over. The oil should have a dye in it either white, red or something else. Use this as an indicator as to how much you need to apply. You may also want to massage the oil into the ITG filter with your hands REMEMBER - Follow the manufacturers 'instruction' for each specific application. I am not held liable for any damage caused to your pod/cai, car, dog, mother, groceries as a result of reading this how to guide....it is a GUIDE only

You can also remove the wire from behind the instrument cluster. all you need is a philips head screw driver and remove the insrument cluster then on the main loom you will see a red/black wire on the bottom row of pins 3 in from the right. Simply remove that wire from the loom and presto....no BEEP...BEEP

Point-to-Point Speed Cameras
Danthuyer replied to SuiCid3's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
am i right in saying it is you are legally allowed to sit in the right lane of a dual lane road without overtaking traffic, if the speed limit is 90k/hr or less!!!!???? So if it is a 100k/hr zone....WHY DOES EVERY MORON SIT IN THE RIGHT LANE!!!!!! why cause astralians have the WORST....i repeat WORST traffic sence and enforcment of the laws in the world!!!!! I agree 200% with all of azzas remarks!.... -
coolies....... more STIVOS

Danthuyer replied to negatron's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
how about making a pipe that increases in diameter as the rev range increases also :P damn that would be cool....but imagine the logistics of it IF IT COULD BE DONE!!!! -
no need to hit limiter guys to land 1-2 practice makes perfect. If your clutch has ben replaced with aftermarket, then you shoulnt have any isues AT ALL! if yor running stock gear then make sure you have had the clutch adjusment done by toyota or another mechanic. If you havent done either .......then DUH! no wonder your having issues

I recently had my inner and outer CV boots replaced by motorama and I must say they were trying their best to keep me happy, but unfortunatley they managed to loose $150 worth of Redline Racing oils from my car....... They did notice that the transmission oil was a different colour (yellow/green) but decided to replace it with toyota genuine anyway and THEN tell me what they did :( But rememebr that TOCAU members get 10% of all parts and serviceing with Motorama....just Speak to 'AL' their 2ic in the service dep. Cheers Sads
