  1. Probably should have gone in the ebay section. They've been around for a little while now and haven't really hit it off with Aurion owners as far as I can tell. Generally the opinion with these aftermarket units is that they're of a poor quality, more likely to leak/fog up, and are extremely overpriced. Pretty sure those fluro "halos" wouldn't last very long, the fluro ones never do.
  2. I think yours got sent out later in the afternoon, I passed on the info the moment I got it and that's what I was told.
  3. I used to go to a supplier located out at Brendale, but the name eludes me sorry - I'm sure you could find a supplier in the yellow pages though. Mind you I wouldn't recommend polycarbonate, as even though it would work it will take a LOT of working and shaping etc and might not even look that good. If you look at my thread here where I used ABS, you can see how I designed my heatshield to remove any "void" that would be left. To answer your question I removed the entire factory intake.
  4. Okay I've just been to see the seller and confirm the order/payments etc. Everything is set and I'm happy with the checks done on the units so they will be posted out first thing on Friday morning (as tomorrow is Australia Day)
  5. 6 have been sold in this current group buy. If you're desperate for one I can organise one at the discounted rate for today ONLY if you choose to pay via paypal, but you need to be quick smart in PMing your interest. Haha I think you misunderstand, I've already bought one and sent you payment ;) Sorry mate, I have PMs coming out of my ears. You DO however need to send me the shipping address
  6. As stated, payment is being made today (with group buys you can't buy units individually, I needed to wait until I had 5 people paid). Assuming it clears straight away (seller is with same bank as me) then expect them to be posted tomorrow
  7. I'd use polycarbonate before using perspex as it's far more durable and unlikely to become brittle. 10 or 15mm will also likely be thick enough to withstand engine bay temps. I used standard ABS plastic sheeting, only 2mm thick and mine is keeping shape well
  8. 6 have been sold in this current group buy. If you're desperate for one I can organise one at the discounted rate for today ONLY if you choose to pay via paypal, but you need to be quick smart in PMing your interest.
  9. 3 payments received so far, 1 on its way. Spokai / Lulchul please contact me immediately via PM re: confirming payment will be made on time. If there are any delays I need to know as soon as possible.
  10. The Normanby was okay last time we went, although it might be a bit late to make a booking?
  11. I'll be a bit poor for a week due to my last job screwing up my last pay and refusing to fix it until the next pay cycle
  12. How bout Hogsbreath at Indro again? Wasn't too bad last time we were there
  13. Easiest way is to get an aftermarket unit with an LCD screen that supports a reverse camera. Do a search and perhaps visit your local car audio shop, I know they will be able to work out a solution that suits your need. If you just want a reverse camera by itself, any cheap LCD that accepts RCA inputs (ie virtually all of them) will do the job. Where to mount it is personal preference and dependant on how big a screen you get.
  14. No room for driveshaft = 4x4 drive height plus many other issues to overcome. FWD to RWD or 4x4 conversions are never simple
  15. B would work, but it's personal preference really
  16. PMs will be sent out this morning to all buyers and those who have expressed interest. To those who want a reversing camera, please specify from the image below whether you want camera A, B or C. Camera A is designed to be flushed mounted in your bumper or other flat vertical surface and comes with spacers to "tilt" the lense up or down if you choose to use them. Cameras B and C are designed to be installed over your number plate, and are entirely personal preference as to which you want. These are not Aurion specific cameras but rather a Toyota universal design.
  17. Maybe we can all go grab a steak on the Friday evening then, that way it should suit the most people?
  18. Unsure of what work I'll be picking up next week as it's a week earlier than my new jobs start date. How long is Big Pete in town for?
  19. Cheers I had actually forgotten about that. She'll be right, I have plenty of grinders and drills here
  20. Not at all, tomorrow (the 20th) night is the deadline, to which I'll be sending out PMs over the weekend.
  21. Their is a group buy going on right now here Video example of unit plus link to a review I did is there too. Group buy has already got minimal numbers needed, so if interested and can get payment to me by the 25th then you can join as well.
  22. Will be sending out PMs to each buyer over the next few days with detailed instructions etc. Payment still required by the 25th but I won't be making payment to George until the Thursday so their is a small bit of play there. Group buy will not go forward until at least 5 buyers have made payment - If people pull out come payment time and we don't get 5 buyers all money will be refunded.
