  1. My 2007 ZR6 is valued at around 27k with twice as many ks (round 80,000) in stock form, so this is a really good deal guys! Well looked after too by the sounds of it. Sorry to hear you're letting it go but at the same time wishing you the best with the sale.
  2. something's nagging at the back of my mind when it comes to the first Saturday of the month, like I have a prior commitment on that day but I just can't remember it now. Either way unless it's like a mini-cruise and maybe bbq (make a mini-event out of it) done say bi-monthly or so then I think it would get old very quickly. We already meet up every Thursday, if we're going to make another regular meet I reckon there should be a bit more time between events (hence bi-monthly) and make it stand out from what we always do anyway on Thursdays. Just my humble opinion.
  3. doesn't seem right. If I recall correctly, if an issue is brought up during the warranty period then it is still covered by the warranty despite it passing the warranty-end date if awaiting parts.
  4. fastv6 - If that means your car now looks like a sportivo, then yeah these foglights will fit the same as they did on mine. The mounting points are the same across all Aurion models, just some (specifically the ATX) need the bumper inserts as well (also included) Helvetica Rounded - Too busy with my own car at the moment mate. If it were just installing them in the front bumper I'd do it no worries, but running the wiring to the dash switch etc is something I just don't have time to do lately.
  5. I understand your situation and i do empathise with your circumstances, but the forum rules in regards to selling are displayed on the front page. If you are unsure about what to do i find its always best to ask a moderator first who would be more than happy to give you the appropriate advice rather than to take action first. Regarding the posting of illegal content, im sure the moderators are not aware of this and rely on members to bring this to their attention. Im certain they would appreciate any input or feedback youd like to give without turning this into a public matter

I'm surprised you haven't got the moment on camera with that set up of yours.
  7. got them from ebay user nabobery. I actually disassembled the fog lights when I got them to give them a coat of paint and I saw plenty of room below the lens for a longer bulb if desired. I think for the time being I'll keep mine non-HID as for their intended purpose I find the halogen H3's would be bested suited.
  8. I have always said early April, and believe more I'm more impatient about this than anyone else
  9. The sub is a custom job I made myself. Unfortunately I don't think anyone makes a mass produced fibreglass enclosure for the Aurions (yet). I have been rethinking the rear end and have found tinted transparent vinyl covers that would tint them well, however after considering things such as legality and insurance I have decided against tinting them. It's not ideal but for the time being I see no other option to darken them but keep them legal (short of cutting them open but that's not a risk I'm keen on at the moment)
  10. I'll get back to you on that one, next time the car is driven I'll have several to test out :D
  11. +1 for the foggies. Other change is that I got rid of the lower grill insert I had made. It looked like it was blocking a fair bit of air from the radiator and didn't match the new(er) grill style. No more mods planned, car is now being put back together and cleaned up ready to be back on the road in a few weeks. Made a purchase the other day too that should arrive in a few weeks, DJKOR knows what it is but I won't be revealing it yet.
  12. 2 slight changes. Can you guess what they are?
  13. Secondly, and I'm not having a dig at you Steve, but just wanted to provide a bit of an insight. In this instance, there would be no point in filing a Police report. There were no injuries, details were exchanged and parties are insured (even if parties weren't insured it still wouldn't meet the requirements for a report). Reporting the collision just to formally have your side of the story taken down to support an insurance claim is not what Police reports are about. If the matter was reported, Police would have to question the driver of the truck also. In a case where there are conflicting stories (and chances are there will be if the truck driver has already lied to his employer) and there are no independent witnesses, then Police will, most likely not be able to determine who was at fault. Not to mention the fact that we pay insurance companies hundreds, if not thousands of dollars a year and what do we get back from them? Nothing! Insurance companies employ accident investigators/assessors for this exact reason, they should be utilised in the first instance. Anyways, just some food for thought.... :D Being a former QLD Police Officer who has taken dozens of traffic reports of varying degrees of seriousness and complexity, as well as having been personally subpoenaed for evidence by insurance companies on multiple occasions, I do happen to have more experience in this area generally. True both parties were present, insured and details explained. Although there are legal requirements as to when a traffic report MUST be made to the Police, there is no harm in having one made anyway and many insurance companies actually send people to the Police for a report regardless. The reason? Mostly cost saving to the insurance company, and they're essentially getting the Police to do there job and investigations for them. However there are also benefits to the the driver of the involved vehicle as well. I have on more than one occasion interviewed a Driver at the site of an accident, only to have them concoct a story later (with the assistance of their or their insurers lawyers) that saw their version in a different light which makes them appear not at fault. Fortunately for the true victim I was able to supply recordings and documents I had made at the time that saw the other guys new story fall to pieces. The benefit in these situations isn't so much as determining who's at fault, but getting the versions of all parties and witnesses recorded at the time or as near as possible which makes it difficult for them to change their stories later. This as a result can save having to appear in court at a later time as a witness as the first thing insurers do when facts are contested is to make a claim for a copy of the Police report (if one was made). Thanks for the food, but I'm not hungry :)
  14. Just read about that accident in the courier mail. Is it so wrong of me to hope that a certain person I knew was driving that cop car?
  15. I've purchased an aftermarket fog light kit for my Aurion ZR6 that came with projector lamps, simply because I wanted the projectors (couldn't be found separately). As a result I know have my standard ZR6 foglight lamps and an ATX fitting kit (wiring, foglight surrounds, switches, screws etc) in excess of my needs and as such am willing to part it off dirt cheap. On close inspection my old lamp assemblies have a bit of "speckling" over the protective glass that is only visible up close. Due to this and comparing the price of complete kits on Ebay, I'm only asking $60 for this kit - That's half price of the cheapest ebay kit I could find. I've looking into it closely and I'm 99% sure my old fog lamps will fit the kit perfectly if they don't for some reason then I'm of course offering a full refund in the event they don't (just please fit the lamps into the bumper before doing any wiring is all I ask). Pickup preferred to save stuffing around with a return if needed. If you do opt for postage and it DOESN'T fit then you will also be liable for return postage. The kit is cheap enough, but figure in around $10-$30 postage if you choose that option. The below link shows an auction which is virtually the same as what I'm selling except of course I'm using my old lamps instead (which look exactly like those depicted in the auction) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/06-07-08-TOYOTA-AURION-CAMRY-Fog-Lamp-Light-OEM-E-Mark-/350354515777?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5192c1a741 Contact by replying to this thread or by PM - Steve
  16. okay the projector fogs turned up and seem to fit fine. Direct plug and play. Sort of but I'll come back to that in a moment. As a result I now have my old fog lamp assemblies, and a full ATX fitting kit available. As a result I'd like to sell them off cheaply but I first need to know whether it will actually fit a pre-facelift ATX (due to the different slight fits). If you're in the brisbane area (Everton Park) and would like fog lights in your ATX drop me a line via the PM system and we can give fitment a go. Just to clarify this isn't a for sale thread, simply an expression of who would like to see whether it would fit their car. I'll be making a for sale thread to link to this one shortly.
  17. Be sure to fit one of these for the full effect
  18. And here are the 2 different versions installed. You can see my modified stock version fits perfectly whilst the aftermarket diffusers fit is a bit second rate. Hope this helps!
  19. Why not wire up those same LEDs to act up when you hit 88mph? That would look pretty cool from the outside (until of course, nothing happened).
  20. Hard to decide without actually seeing them on a car. Not a fan of the Audi-like LEDs either. Also, just as they are now, I'm not a fan of the overall design. Just doesn't seem to "mesh" together well
  21. Up till now I've been running those ebay T10 Led globes in my doors as an upgrade from the standard filament bulb when I saw some complete LED courtesy light assemblies come up on Ebay. Link below: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Camry-Hybrid-Aurion-Corrolla-TOYOTA-LED-Courtesy-lights-/270714319616?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f07d4b300 Anyhow I ordered 2 pairs and they arrived the other day. A complete breakdown of these lights is that they come with a built in heatsink, voltage regulator and are direct plug and play. The bad news is that it's just a 12v regulator which protects from voltage spikes however does nothing to fix the "flickering" often observed when changing the door lights to LEDs. My T10s had it, and as these new lights are more powerful (and cast a very nice, warm white light) the flickering is more noticeable. Further the laser cut light diffuser does not fit the door trims anywhere near as good as the standard diffusers. Good news is that both of these problems can be fixed. The LEDs can be separated from the diffuser, which allows the regulator to be desoldered and replaced with a more suitable 10 or 11v unit. This will result in slightly dimmer lights but worth it in my opinion to prevent the flickering. Further, I was able to fairly easily swap the new diffuser for my stock one which only required modding the stock diffuser and LED assembly VERY slightly. I didn't change the regulators, but I did swap the diffusers. Better comparison in car pics to come tomorrow when ambient light is better. In the end though I do believe these are slightly overpriced, but still far better than my T10s were.
