  1. Isn't it like really illegal to lower the count on an odometer. lol
  2. +1, love the all white look.
  3. Hi Dave, I don't think the GSV40R's came with factory HID's on the Sportivo models. The Sportivo linked on wikipedia with the clear lens doesn't have HID's. The easiest way to tell if it were HID equipped from factory is to look for the washer covers which would be directly under the headlights as required by ADR law: This is a Presara - notice the square shaped bumps under the headlights. They are required for all legal HID systems, that's probably the easiest way to tell. Aiden's correct in that the GSV50R's gained the HID's in the ZR6. The autolevelling function of HID's does a test lower/raise when you turn on the headlights so you can see the light moving against a flat wall. I think they're the appropriate headlights for your model UIK. The headlight is a bit darker behind the projector and has the clear lens as Dave said.
  4. I think around $20k according to other comparable ZR6's on carsales?
  5. Most important question is how many kilometers has it done?
  6. I've read that armour all protectant is a silicon based protectant and doesn't evaporate thus can trap heat under it? I've heard reports of dash's cracking due to it but I don't know how true that is...
  7. Hey Kenshin, I'm interested in getting one of these - just wondering what does the red boxes in the cable check utility mean? Does it mean it's damaged?
  8. Yes, there's some butterfly clips which lock the bulb in place. Simply squeeze on them and move it out of the way to have access to the bulb.
  9. Nope, no major mods unfortunately. I was going to get an intake but backed off as I didn't want to intrude on the cabin ambience. It's so hard to mod as it's so quiet and I don't want anything to increase cabin noise :( Is your new IS the 2013 3rd gen?
  10. That's the beatsonic kit: https://www.beatsonicusa.com/nav-dvd-bypass/toyota-lexus.html Basically there's a manual switch that you have to flick when you want to watch DVDs/input things. The only catch is the GPS pauses while doing so.
  11. Blanking out is a feature standard on all Toyota Navigation systems to avoid distractions during driving lol, you can stop it with an aftermarket accessory but I read if you do that then your insurance may be void?
  12. I saw this Aurion on carsales! http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/TRD-Aurion-2007/AGC-AD-15300985/?Cr=9 Not a bad price and still looks mint. You must have been sad to see her go :(
  13. I think it's probably meant to be like that - Foxtel Go doesn't allow playing on full screen tv's through AppleTV either so might be restricted on what it can be played on?
  14. IMO, black gloss is the best roof cover for a white car! It's a seamless blend into the paint and surrounding front and rear glass. I've seen matte/carbon and it kind of breaks it up the flow. Carbon white would be different though, not sure how it would look haha.
  15. There's a good thread here about it if you want to take a read: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2213633
  16. Try pressing in the cover hard into the open position and sliding it close a few times - maybe the mechanism that switches the light on got stuck?
  17. I like the darker colours on the new Sportivos, it makes the bottom black plastic bits blend better.
  18. The wheels cost him $3.6k for the set without tyres.... :o that kid is so rich.
  19. Do you know how much the TE37's cost? I like them. I loved following your friends build as well! He was pretty well known on the American Acura forums with that Euro build but he stopped posting after 2012 :(
  20. Yes, original manufacturer warranty is transferrable across used cars (it's third party and such that usually aren't). To be honest, you'd probably save more money servicing at an independent/another dealer instead of gambling a $1k reserve for warranty work servicing at Nissan.
  21. ACV40R has a timing chain and it should last the life of the car. I paid $140 for a transmission fluid change and $85 for a brake fluid change for an Accord Euro this week, I'd expect Toyota dealers to charge less than Honda dealers though - they're definitely trying to make money out of you from the $99 service special. I can't remember the brake fluid interval on the Camry although I do suspect that it was changed at 60k km as that is the interval on both my Lexus and Honda. The 75k usually doesn't require it unless it's past 2 years from the last service as stated beforehand.
  22. I didn't have the shiny part in my old Camry but I remember it was super soft and if you pressed your nails into it, it would take chunks out easily if you barely dugged. It was kind of like semi-melted wax
  23. I'm looking at getting some OX wheels as well. If you don't mind me asking, what's the quality like and have you noticed any difference in ride with them in comparison to the stock wheels?
  24. I've used the 3M tape to hold down a ducktail spoiler along with adhesion promotor to help with bondage to the paint. It's been on there for ~6 months now with no movement.
