  1. Hey @conrod, hope you're still around. I'm trying to do what you guys have done in the past. I've got some spare wheels from my Lexus IS250 which I want to fit to my 2WD Hilux. I've done some calculations and everything seems to be fine but just confused on the centre bore thing as well. The IS250/Kluger share the same centre bore of 60.1mm but I looked online and it said the Hilux's centre bore is 106.1mm so I'm kinda confused seeing as 106.1mm seems to be a hell of a lot bigger than 60.1mm but people have fitted Kluger rims previously fine to the 4x2 HIlux and people are advertising the IS250 rims as fitting as well - any insight into this at all? Haha
  2. Hi, Has anyone fitted a tub from the 2015+ Hilux onto the 05-14 models? Just wondering if it would fit/what modifications would be necessary. Cheers :) Insert other media
  3. Trent's correct, Toyota doesn't have colour paint codes for their wheels as usually they're finished off at a different factory from their paint facilities. You can probably find a close match for your wheel colour if you look close enough from Toyota's paint guide but it won't be exact. Camera colour matching would be the best idea but it might be a hassle taking the wheel off/bringing it into the shop.
  4. Yep, later models use LED's. You will have to solder off and on SMD LED's - a pretty tricky job.
  5. The Genesis looks amazing - has lots of road presence. I love the front end of the car, the only design quirk for me is that the rear looks too similar to an Elantra and depreciation is probably going to be not so go good. The Ultimate pack is $83k!
  6. Hey Kombi and Chunks - it might still be the ballast. I think it still maintains power after it ignites the bulb which is why you still hear it buzzing when the headlights are on, like Boondy said though if its definitely faulty the bulb won't ignite. Toyota ballasts are pretty generic: http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xdenso+balla.TRS0&_nkw=denso+ballast&ghostText=&_sacat=0 Make sure that the bulb size is correct - D4S but other than that the only thing that differs is the length of the HID cord between models. I've changed the ballast on my IS250 and it was okay - you can disassemble the connector and feed the cord through the headlight if it won't fit.
  7. Holy crap! I used to have an 07 Camry that had what I called a melted dash - it was sticky to touch and left fingerprints/nail marks but that takes it to a whole new level.
  8. Hey Bryce, See if you can get a part number from the dealership and order it online. Programming is easy if you have buy a Techstream cable on eBay. Used keys aren't reprogrammable without a lot of difficulty.
  9. Members found this kit worked: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/25274-aux-input-mod-pms-sent-to-djkor-regarding-this-mod-will-go-unanswered/page-9#entry493244
  10. Welcome Dylan! How much is the 86 setting you back with that staff discount? ;)
  11. I love the kappa wheels! Good luck with the sale.
  12. If you're planning to order your key from overseas make sure that their part number is the same as the Australian version. I know for Lexus keyless remotes, there are numerous different frequencies: Japan, Taiwan, China, Korea, Singapore, Australia, Russia, etc. all have difference frequencies and can't be used interchangeably. Some models have the same frequencies as the US though and the keys can be imported from there but you have to be absolutely certain that the part numbers match. I suspect it would be the same for Toyota too. New Zealand also has the same frequency as Australia too if I can remember correctly.
  13. You can try and import a Nascar Camry V8 from the USA and do a LHD-RHD conversion - probably your cheapest route lol. There's a reason why Audi doesn't move from a FWD to RWD architecture when all the other luxury brands do, too much R&D to change everything.
  14. It might if you cut up both bumpers and fuse sections of each - I know a few people have done this on the Lexus forums but it's a lot of work. I think the ACV40R is bigger in size though to the earlier models so not sure?
  15. Make sure your smart key isn't next to your phone in your pocket/hand as sometimes this causes interference and won't unlock your car :)
  16. Looking good Kanmuri, are you going to get the quad tipped exhaust like on the XSP too?
  17. E10 has a lower energy density than traditional unleaded, therefore the car has to use more of it to get the same energy output. Try using 91/95, not sure if you'll find that much difference between the two though as the Camry is designed to use RON91 fuel and the extra octane might be put to waste, you'd definitely see an increase in fuel efficiency vs. E10 though.
  18. 4300k is considered to be the standard for best light/visibility but it's still a bit yellow, this is what Manufacturers use for factory HID systems. Some German brands (Mercedes/BMW) have Osram CBI's as OEM bulbs now - 5000k, pure white. Osram has configured their salts to actually have a greater lumen output with a whiter colour than the traditionally 4300k globes - they are quite a bit more expensive though. 6000k+ is when you start to lose visibility, you lose roughly 20% of light output compared to 4300k but you do gain the whiter light and a blue tint, this is also where you'll have visibility issues with the rain as the white light can't penetrate the rain as well and reflects back (same concept as to why fog lights are yellow and not white). Some people claim that they can see more with 6000k lights but that's due to the colour being a lot more saturated in front of you, it also causes a bit more strains on the eyes vs. the neutral colour of 4300k. If you have an aftermarket HID system, the police won't generally pull you over unless the colour is on the bluer side or if they're feeling a bit mean and what to defect you for something. It's just insurance liability that you have to be careful of. Hypothetical situation is if someone drives across their lane and into yours and hits you head on and claims that they were dazzled because of the lights, your insurance may be void.
  19. ^ 1 post - subtle advertising right there lol.
  20. It's illegal in Australia too - fitting aftermarket HID's to factory halogen projectors not designed for a HID cutoff nor having an auto-levelling system and washers is considered to go against the ADR and deems your car to be unroadworthy. - that's the by the book response anyway.
  21. Nice of you to drop by, park 10 meters away with the engine running and basically stare at us for 20 minutes before driving off without saying boo. Just like you've done previously... ahahaha did this really happen o.o

    Rav4 GPS update

USB maps are coded by the dealer to your particular cars so I don't think there is unfortunately :(
  23. Love the Camry - can't believe that was the original car in the first post lol! I think I saw your car a few times too on some Honda forums/Acura USA forums with your friends white Accord Euro with the te37s? Did you end up getting the E92 335i? I just got off my P's too and want one of those as well although I'm scared of the HPFP, fuel pump stories. Have you had any problems with it thus far?
  24. It doesn't really matter where you keep it. The battery drain on the car would be minimal, just keep it outside of the cars range (around 1m from the door) for security reasons. If you keep the key near other devices which have wireless capability it may drain the remotes battery quicker but again I believe this to be minimal. Try holding the key and a mobile phone in the same hand touching each other and the smart entry doesn't work because of interference. You're over thinking it - just enjoy the car and put the keys somewhere secure so no one can steal them :)
