  2. Hey Peeps, Just wondering, I've been noticing lately that there have been a lot of threads popping up where the title of the thread is very vague... for example: "Info Please" "How?" "WTB:" These thread titles are meaningless, and to put it bluntly extremely freakin annoying. If you want people to read the thread, make the title relevant and descriptive so others can find the info that they need or want, especially when it comes to searching at a later date. If the thread title is something stupid, people wont bother trying to decipher what info is contained within. I just think this will help all forum members, as well as (hopefully) cut down on the thousand topics on the same thing ie CAI, eyelids and antennas. Cheers B)
  3. Looks awesome mate!!! i reckon a c-one carbon bonnet would be perfect on there! top work dude
  4. what was the width though Pete cos thats where the problem would lie. I'm not 100% sure what the measurements are, but 7" wheel on a 50 offset might be getting pretty close to hitting the inside
  5. your welcome ;) now -2 people voted no :P
  6. Rob, if you were to bring the escort, my response would be to bring it. I honestly dont think (judging by several of the cars we beat) that the escort will be much, if at all quicker. but its a very good experience for $220
  7. Fixed for you rob :P I know where my vote goes ;)
  8. Pretty sure thats the auto choke doing what its supposed to do. every car does it.
  9. And the results are in!! Big surprises here. the 2ZZ rally car with slicks was very competitive, breaking the lap record for the class twice, only for it to be taken back by the previous holder each time. Went home with a second place trophy, and times of: 1. 52.XX 2. 50.15 (record) 3. 50.45 4. 51.63 5. 50.04 (record) the 2ZZ started slow, and was soon right on the pace, leading the class going into the final run. Times were 1. 59.27 2. 55.30 3. 54.03 4. 53.88 5. 53.84 The 1ZZ started slow as well and continually got quicker until the very last lap, came from nowhere to record an impressive 53.76!!!! beating the 2ZZ cos Jimmy found some balls!!! 1. 60.3 2. 58.xx 3. 56.xx 4. 55.xx 5. 53.76!!!! So in the end, Jimmy took home the second place trophy and poor old me had to settle for 3rd only cos the mx-5 i was tussling with all day had a cracker of a last run getting a 53.11 which was extremely quick for the class. The other competitors in the class were a Peugeot of some description, and a 93ish Mazda 323 Astina driven by a young girl who did quite well!!! So, who's coming next time, 30/9???
  10. Sat and allllllll day. Its the ultimate 1ZZ v 2ZZ v 2ZZ rally car (with slicks) who will win?

  16. I knew someone would take pics of the Lunar Eclipse! Nice work Jase!! I would have, but i dont have a camera... it looks pretty sweet though! an awesome pic would be of it as a half-cast with the earth slowly moving out of the way and a bit of light creeping back in...
  17. the normal corolla keys are cheaper to replace, as it doesnt have all the security features that the stivo has... the stivo uses the immobliser and central locking system by Denso... and yea... for a replacement key, it will cost you $300ish from toyota... and it's considered to be cheap... because the mini cooper's spare key cost $800 Conquest, Levin and Sportivo (and probably Ultima) ZZE Rollas all came with the same key (with central locking integrated). It was only the Ascent that had the seperate key and central locking system, however the key still has the donger in it which needs to be coded to the engine, so is almost as pricey anyway.
  18. Dutton is for rich bastards :P nah its a very good event, however bear in mind that u need to be able to deal with the ****ers from Motor Magazine who enter each year. Many members have taken their car to a track for a fun day... some have competed in Hillclimbs etc (a couple of members are competing this weekend :P) There are a few dedicated track and rally rolla's out there as well, who do quite well.
  19. Pretty sure the TTE uses an Eaton M62 charger, exactly like Lotus do. Dont try and buy an Eaton M62 though (unless u can find one second hand) - They have been removed from sale in Oz due to a contractual agreement with Lotus. Buggers :(
  20. me too "Michael what are you doing today?" "oh you know, car stuff" "oh ok... have fun"
  21. Happy Bday Dylan sorry im a bit late!!!
