HIDs already on Presara The current model has them on the inside of the door, which gives better angles for getting out of the car. I got hit by one of them opening as I walked past last week ... I am now personally against them. Good at the snow! My ZR6 already does ... I'm sure it will carry over. My centre console power outlet reaches the rear ok ... plus if you're putting people in the boot, don't give them a power source (they can stay on the phone with the police until found). If you notice it again, it would be worth having a quick look over the wires you have access to, starting with high current ones first - headlamps, alternator, radiator fan, etc.

It has already been done by someone in the Albury/Wodonga area (NSW/VIC boarder), back in around 2008. It has also been done in the US before also. What do you sell?

If you are talking about the last photo. That is certainly not normal. But if you mean every car you've looked at that has that new stereo system then okay. But if you are talking about all aurions, stock or not, that's not normal. Every Aurion at the Toyota national office (stock audio) has this gap, per the last photo. So too the hybrid Camry.

The top gap has been seen on every car I've looked at, including my own.

You're right that Toyota / Fujitsu Ten have a firmware update, required due to a change in the iOS by Apple. All the dealers have the latest info and the means of repair ... time to make a booking.

What needs replacing and why? Have the shafts fallen off? Are the boots leaking grease?

The E1 mark on the lens shows that it is an ADR 6/00 approved item: The "authorities" could put it into the same basket as hyper blue headlamps (needs ADR 51/00 approval) or HID kits on a car without auto-levelling lamps and headlamp washers (requires ADR 46/00 approval). Getting a LED globe of the same type as the original shouldn't be a problem. You should be aware that changing how the reflector and lens work together, with your mod, could impact on an insurance claim ...

Just keep in mind that your car will be unroadworthy ... and you will never see the result.

Using my spare alternator, it looks like it interferes with the radiator (where the radiator cap is) and the radiator support panel. Of you want to shift it to the passenger side, the oil dip stick tube is then in the way. I would be prepared and grab yourself some Toyota coolant (you may need automatic transmission fluid too) ... You'll need the non-reusable parts before you start anyway (the ones with the black circles): Would you consider a dealer quite for the work?

Unfortunately, the repair manual requires radiator removal: I've only removed when the engine is not in the car, so I don't have any tricks for you :(

This is not sports or sequential shift. It is "Select-mode" and should be used like any other auto that has the shift lever go along the lines of P-R-N-D-3-2-L ... did you use that transmission as a manual? No would be the answer. It is designed to be used in situations where you are towing and need to Select a lower gear to prevent excessive loading and overheating. That said, I use it for engine braking, pre-selecting the minimum corner gear and for when I need a better launch (S1 activates one of the transmission brakes which I like the feel of). I expect this will be improved in the new model next year ... ;)
