  1. Brekky creek sounds good. I'm in provided it's before the 22nd of Dec.
  2. Dae... Woo! BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! that was soooooo lame, and yet so funny at the same time... might have been the couple of beers at dinner that made me happy though... You loved it. It's ok to admit it man.
  3. Finally got round to finishing up stage 1 of the audio upgrade. No subwoofer yet, but running new amps, speakers and headunit. Setup is: - Pioneer MVH-8250BT (http://www.pioneer.com.au/Products/Car%20Entertainment/Media%20Centre%20Receivers/MVH-8250BT.aspx) - 2xResponse 2-channel 150w RMS (bridgeable to 500w) - Polk Audio MM6501 6.5" Splits - Polk Audio MM691 6x9" coaxial Sound is excellent, just going easyish on the drivers to bed them in before I give them a good run but the sound quality is much better.
  4. Gets the new headunit put in tomorrow. Thank jesus I can get rid of this stupid Kenwood piece of junk.

  5. I don't think it was restrictive but the 'xstream' + 'inverted' K&N filters boast longer service intervals. I'll flog the car on the way to work tomorrow morning and see how it goes. edit: WTF??? What happened to your sig?
  6. I just replaced my K&N pod filter with a CCS (Cheap Chinese... Stuff) air filter from Repco which is significantly larger than my K&N and has an inverted top (it fits because there is so much space down there). The engine runs fine with the bigger filter on... but realistically what kind of gains would I get from a bigger filter with more filtering area?
  7. Yeah, best price I could get from them as well. Tried to get him to throw in a microfibre towel but he said that was the best he could do. Oh well, I have dedicated wheel cloths anyway so it doesn't really matter.
  8. the FW1 is no good on paint if you ask me. I would never apply it to a dirty car like the guy who tried to show me. The FW1 is ok on tyres though, but the price of a can is too bloody expensive.
  9. Great company, Good food, poor service. Good night to be had by all, hope you enjoyed our hospitality Pete.
  10. Since I am not a mod it is ok to say this. Isn't there a 'Stupid Questions' thread for questions of this nature? I mean, a new thread for a one line question...?
  11. Polk MM6501s and Polk MM691s... Done.

  12. Did this last week: 2x Response 2-Channel 150w RMS amplifiers + replaced my MTX 6001s with some Soundstream Picasso PCCN splits Wasn't happy with the soundstreams (cheap Ebay buy, you get what you pay for) so I got these today: I'll throw in the speakers this arvo but the headunit will have to wait for a day or two.
  13. Wow, my wash procedure has changed. I wash minimum, once a week (usually twice) and have been waxing the car on average once a fortnight. Take it down to the local self-serve at night using all my own gear besides the spray.
  14. Spotted Mr Wheeler heading towards the Valley @ 10.25pm tonight. For someone who claimed to be very drunk you had very little to no swagger at all.
  15. So ****** off I missed tonight. Instead of meeting up I volunteered to help out because the State needed it and I got a royal kick in the groin. Rage. Sorry Pete, I'll see you on Tuesday.
  16. Frick, there is a 95% possibility I won't be there due to requirements of the State. *angry face*
  17. Damn Mick. That must be without a doubt; the most informative and useful post I have ever seen, on any forum ever. I'm down, provided there isn't too much drinking.
  18. Finally, after 3 months of silence (except for supercharger whine) I will have some music in the car by tomorrow.

I know, I've been using mums car for the last 2 days and I'm just blasting it. Not refined for a Lexus but it's definitely nice.

  19. A rear sway bar is well known as being one of (if not) the best value for money suspension/handling upgrade you can get. Alot of people get the RSB first and a strut brace later; there won't be an issue. I don't know of anyone in Sydney, but PM SILVABULLIT. He's a whiteline (and UltraRacing) distributor here in Brisbane; otherwise just shop around at different suspension stores and let them know you are looking for the best price possible.
  20. You'll notice that the car will handle better when cornering and your turning will be more direct as it will reduce your understeer. The biggest issue will be is that if you haven't put in a rear sway bar, you will notice more bodyroll because your front is tighter but your rear is the same. The UR brace RRP is $220 + postage.
