  3. the cat back is with the muffler too? if so give that to me too lol
  4. i didnt see the stock shocks. give em to me lol. im free tomorrow if u wanna meet up
  5. reverse crunch is because the gearbox reverse gear is helical cut. to prevent it, i shift into any gear and then reverse while clutch is still depressed. i also get a crunch (well more so a clunk) when i shift into 1st at the lights before taking off as i have a helical LSD installed in my box...
  6. good service history is pretty much what you need. chassis inspection to see that its not been in a major accident. gearbox maybe gone. make sure you hit lift and change to see how it feels. mines done over 200,000 kms and i still track it. still making power and still handles well.
  7. yeah they require the same amount of holes and grommets to fit it.
  8. best way is to use the 3000 grit paper to be safe. are you sure its a rotary or is it a random orbital. random orbitals dont put enough heat on the clear coat to cut it down. some panels can be plastic wrapped... nothing u can do there.
  9. thanks man, i didnt see you or desmond at winton exe in november! lol
  10. Well if he is afraid of damaging something, he shouldn't do it anyway. Or just get the genuine ones. Everything bought on eBay is a risk. And if he decides to buy a cheap one to see if ur works then he should understand the risks. When I bought my obdii for the corolla I knew what can happen but I took the chance anyways. It works well and I'm happy with it. Take a leap of faith and try, the worst thing that can happen is a fuse gets blown, replace it and toss the scanner in the bin.
  11. I doubt it. Just plug it in and see if it works. U won't break anything
  12. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL -_-
  13. er... u made a thread just to discuss about ur car? u should put it in members ride or spotted section
  14. If u do get a Japanese bonnet, put it on and let us know if it fits. I know the doors are definitely different as the latches are higher on the Japanese doors. Bloody stooopit if u ask me. Why not make all fit the same?
  15. Injector cleaning - do it.

  16. Lol good to see you still have the aurion lee! Whens the next meet up? :D
  17. ok guys, so i'm gonna go through what i've done with this new gadget. it's pretty cool at the moment but i think i've pretty much nutted everything out using the toyota's techstream program u need the OBDII DLC3 (data link connector type 3) for the sportivo and possibly the japan made zze corollas as well (will confirm once my dietitian lends me her corolla ) For XP users, just install the file from the driver on the cd. For Vista/Win7 and 8 users, you need to search for the driver manually and install it in. once you do, you will have to restart the computer and run techstream and choose the right VIM in the menu. so when u follow the instructions on the CD manual and installed everything in, connect the cable into the computer and into the OBDII port on the car. turn the key to ignition ON but dont turn on the engine. ABS will be disabled as the VIM is communicating with the ABS ecu. the ABS light will stay on. this is no cause for concern. turn on techstream and choose "Other" as the country region then follow the prompts and choose Australia and make up some name for yourself (backyard mechanic or some shit) click "connect to vehicle" and this should pop up then it goes to this. the techstream auto detects your car so in this case you cant choose any other options. for japan u can choose runx/allex, europe (tsport), north american region (matrix XRS) etc. just click next and then you will be brought on to the main menu where it shows all your ecu functions etc. now is probably the best time to check if your cable is working ok, go to help and check DLC cable. now as the cable is checking the pins, be sure to give it some time (10 seconds or so) before hitting next as it gives it time to test the pins out. this is the final result with my sportivo... as you can see it uses the K protocol as suspected above :) now if for some reason it doesnt work, just close everything and open techstream again and go through it again. if all is well time for some live time reading! :) now see the engine and ECT in yellow, double click this and will bring you to this screen click data list and be patient... then you get all the information from the ecu in real time! but u see the refresh rate on the bottom is like almost 4 seconds or something. just delete some variables and you can increase the refresh rate... here is what i only need for my car refresh rate is around 900ms, not too bad (so updates every 1 second) thats it :) what i found out about this techstream is i cannot record the variables for more than 90 seconds... track session is 15 minutes ;) but i will continue to play with this and see what i can do. other programs dont seem to work with this cable but i havent tried hard enough. this is a clear victory finally after many years of trying different cables. at least i cleared the fault codes on my ecu so now its running all clean ;) i will pin this on top of the corolla section for a while since a lot of people are interested in this. have fun guys! :D
  18. SUCCESS!!! I HAVE IT WORKING!!! will play around with it more and update on the situation. So far I can confirm that the sportivo is OBDII complaint and works with the DLC3 cable. there are some problems i'm trying to figure out but will update on this soon.
  19. And just because you have a different opinion. I shall use the ban stick. Loooool
