  1. No worries man .... thought id give u some room cuz man u were really really heavy on the brakes .... It didnt look like u knew the road all that well cuz yeah u hit the brakes in corners u didnt need to so i thought id give u some room so u didnt feel like u were being pressured ..... What happened 2 u down the straight :P :P :P and im sure i never saw ur lights again until the end when i was pulled over :P :P :P Yep im certain there wasnt a silver stivo behind me the rest of the way in my sight :P :P hahahah too many cops around to gun it down the straights. plus i hit an owl doing about 160 down that road once. scary! i dont brake that hard! im just being cautious  I was just suprised that your headlights totally dissapeared for a couple of turns then you caught up on the straight and zoomed past. How long did you guys hang around in the freezing cold for?!
  2. well that was a fun night. i think i got twice as much natio driving as you guys going down up and down again. :D:D me and my mates helped out some guys trying to tow a boat in a telstar up the hill. hahah they boiled the transmission fluid trying to get up the hill. and xoom, what happened to you? I lost you on a few of those first corners :D:D
  3. I like the volks best. Mostly because I think they would suit my car. The SSR's would be better without the blue nuts.
  4. YOu can either drill the metal rivets out (I did this on the back doors) OR you can pop off the foam around the speaker (if you're careful you wont snap the pieces holding it on..) and unscrew the speaker and pull it off (its solastic'd on so you have to give it a bit of force). if you unscrew it you can then usually mount a new 6.5" speaker. because the stock is 4 screws but my aftermarket was 6. i just used 2 screws and some solastic to help hold it on. no problems thus far. Unscrewing means you can easily mount a new one where as if you drill the metal rivets off you then have to work out how to get them back on OR make a new mounting surround out of wood.

  8. doing 100 in a 50 zone the cop told me it would be in the mail because he wasnt sure whether he would give me the max fine or not (first offence) came in the mail a month or so later as a 15km/h and under fine.
  9. wtf, thats a little strange to backpeddle as far as saying you were completely wrong/lying/insane.
  10. but the factory item is so ugly.
  11. I think I might have this problem now too.. only 3rd it seems though. Ive crunched a few times in the past couple of days, it just wont go into gear. just sits outside just enough to crunch me to tears. :( stupid toyota! I only just bought the damn thing!
  12. I got the aerpro. I dont recommend it. After a lot of work from Mr Dremel we managed to make it fit and then it interfered with my deck so I couldnt use it anyway. Dont buy it.
  13. 6'8" I dont really like the camrys, perhaps the V6 would be better then the one i drove but still. not my style. I dont like family cars.
  14. http://youtube.com/watch?v=p_Pz0uIEPzI dude... what the hell?!?!!
  15. Look and admire? thats a shannons sign isnt it? must be show cars?
  16. It is.... Maybe the only thing that can be done for your go-go gadget legs is to have your seat rails moved back further. This will limit your rear seat legroom though, and will prolly have to have an engineers certificate for it, but it would help your problems... Cost unknown.... Or you could go the high-tower approach, and rip out the front seat and drive from the back... :P Yeah I thought that but as I said the seat belt is already starting to float around infront of me. so if I move any further back the seat belt wont even be touching me. ie, if i crash my body will have to move to the seat belt before it can brace me for the impact... and then i get flung back to the seat anyway. wiplash++ Although...the backseat seat belt might help! hahaha no. only a racing harness would help here, and that would be lame.
  17. I love the old pacca. I almost always end up on there on a saturday night. let me know of any plans. Im usually up for it.
  18. my front brakes make a grinding noise too, and they've only done 10,000k's. the front drivers side seems to be the most effected. It and only it will lock up at a 60km/h slam-on-the-brakes test. when I took the car for its 10,000 service I told toyota and they told me there was nothing they could find and that they couldnt replicate the problem. So that grinding noise i hear constantly is in my head? thanks toyota.
  19. Tint is nice, I knew I shouldve gotten red. Front and rear bar are very nice. Ooo aftermarket wheel, boss kit and seats, that looks useful (re my post about being overly tall) But I'm not sure about the blue styling and the eyelids are a little bit too subtle to even bother :P
  20. somehting else i read, this could effect the airbag efficiency.. ? different angles and position i guess. that could be bad, having the airbag go off too close to my face.
  21. I'm starting to grow my driving skills with more advanced techniques such as heel toe. But the problem I'm facing is that my legs are just that little bit too long that the steering wheel is seperating them that little bit too much. Does anyone have any experience in enlarging the cabin area? I'd like the extend the steering wheel out a bit, i know you can get adapter kits for aftermarket steering wheels which extend the wheel out a bit, also a smaller wheel would help too. But I'm not sure I would like to change the wheel. I cant extend the seating rails as the seat belt would float too far infront of my body. The other option is moving the seat location, ie bolt it to the floor, or better yet replace it with an aftermarket seat and bolt it to the floor too. but again, Im not sure I want to change the seat. I wonder what would be legal and what toyota would be happy for me to do (warranty)? geh, damn these long legs!
