  7. whoa *cringe* its almost like a bad dream looking at those photos. atleast your ok, thats the main thing to remember! hope your feeling better now. im sure she'll be back and running before u know it. lucky u didnt do a sports grill + horn relocation!
  8. team_ZZ melbourne OR club_ZZ melbourne that would cover the 2ZZ, and the 1ZZ, so celicas, new gen rollaz, or u could replace zz with vvt
  9. i yanked this off the OH forum ;) If you haven't already seen this results are out for the 2004 engine awards. check it out @ http://www.ukintpress.com/engineoftheyear/categories04.html In the 1.4-1.8 category, our little 2ZZ-GE came 3rd! nice to see it beat the ford, mazda 3, and 206 ------------------------------------------------ 1. 10. :o wow. great work xoom, id hate to ever get on your bad side ;) i was kind of hoping it would be because of some problem we have already mentioned, so the rattles etc can get fixed.
  11. *lol* what! lol dont they want to get some closure on the 97 Vti-R vs The new Corolla Sportivo thread? http://www.ozhonda.com/forums/viewtopic.ph...280e194142bd1e7 ive been hanging all week to hear about it, get those OH boy's into those cars tony! :D
  12. maybe we should make some noise to find out whats going on. how about a formal letter to toyota asking them whats going on, signed by all of us owners. i'm sure they would take us seriously, there are atleast a good 20-30 of us from all different states. or we could also sit on our bums until august and see how it goes *crosses fingers fixes for rattles, knocking and other engine noises, new selector cables, +10kws, new gear box * oh but i wouldnt trade her for any other car *goes to garage for a perve*
  13. it has a great ring to it, not trying to cause conflict, but i dont think it would suit us as we seem to be a group of consisting mainly of 2zz's and 1zz's, and none of the other makes, what about ZZ team melbourne, that would cover the 2ZZ and the 1ZZ. thats my 2 cents :) but i'd be more than happy to stick a CTM sticker on my car and be a part of something bigger, great idea trd_141!
  14. influx is that the final official fix? because when i went in (3 weeks ago) they did a 'cable modifcation' but said the solution was still on the drawing tables, and when a solution was finalised, it would be a 'fix on demand' basis.
  15. xTiGeRx, lol, sHHHHHHHHHHHHHH im just trying to assure my stivo that she wont become obselete, and she is still going to be the quickest of the new rollaz :D
  16. anyone have any idea about the straight line speed of the new stivo? im hoping its a less aggressive and a tad slower than our current stivos , like what happened with the dc2r and newer dc5r.
  17. IDEA :o queens birthday is coming up, 14th! would be a good day to have a meet since its a public holiday! what u guys think? i have an exam on the 16th, but im sure i could cruise out for a few hours.
  18. are u boys still meeting with the honda guys? i hope so, ive been hanging all week for it to happen, cant wait to hear about it.
  19. that would make some sense. she feels so sluggish some days, and so quick some days, i assumed it was just her moods *pats his sophs*. does that mean our cars will be recalled? i hope so, i just want my car feeling consistent all the time.
  20. i've read that thread, as long as they keep it to their own forum, doesnt bother me what they think. its my car, and i love it, the same way they love their cars, just we dont go around bad mouthing anyone, even if it is for fun. dont take it too seriously, i think some of the guys from here did attend a cruise with one of those tc guys. they dont think much of the 2ZZ-GE's performance ether, why is it noone does? i think its great fun to drive. http://www.twincam.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=5128&st=0

    Tyre Wear

ive covered 13k in the stock stivo tyres, i havent rotated them yet, *lazy* but they seem to be wearing out pretty fast, id say maybe 60-70% tread left, the back have about 75%, like someone said before, they are easy to smoke, too soft for my liking.
  22. tony, i rekon that would be the best idea, rather than making it public and having all sorts of people rock up with the wrong attitudes, that way, u keep it abit more personal and friendly. now *clears throat* GOOO THE SYDNEY SPORTIVO's!!!! i know all us melbourne boys cant wait to hear about it, but more so, its a great chance to promote how awesome the stivo really is :D
  23. wait, i'm confused. the right is shorter right? but then why is the left one non-stock u went from modified, to stock, and it got shorter? tho, that white one looks more shift friendly, but i dont like how the leather is at full stretch.
  24. i was very happy with the result, spot on paint job. they are quick too, i put in my parts friday arvo, and got it saturday morning, and they did the fitting too, no charge B) i got it done at JR, they do alot of body kits, repairs, all sorts of stuff essential to the boy racer. the good thing about them is they've done quite a few rollaz, so they would know wot your on about.
