in answer to all questions the gear box just started refusing to shift down in to second. i took it to toyota explaining that i drove with spirit thus the race suspension setup and air flow mods. they were just thinking it was 2nd synchro as was i. i didn't have a problem with any other gears. when they pulled it apart they found chipped teeth on several gears. and 2nd synchro was bad. (keep in mind toyota use mineral gearbox oil) I have never had a problem with shifting up until last week (i have a good reason why last week but cannot elaborate at present). i could nurse it back down into second but couldn't shift natural like i used to. next mod if i could be bothered will be C-ONE cross mission (5 grand is a bit much though). or racing gear box or more importantly an EDGL honda civic. All warranty as toyota penrith are very good blokes and helpful always have. this all after 70,000 kays. thank you for your concern. told them about the clutch and that the reason i had installed it was to protect my gear box from the shifting problems well known with the car - in reality it shouldn't cause any problems cept for quicker disengage which would maybe not help gear slowing/synchro work load increase but they were cool. if i choose to put a better clutch in it should be no problem - i thought a racing clutch might be a bit different but they were cool about it. get the car back tomorrow. I will comment again then

as i think i have posted before. i have one from ebay cost me i think about 10$aus. go to jhongs. short antenna what ever. it is pretty nice little antenna. as for the standard on i think it makes it look a little "rally"

yeah i am having the same done with mine @ 70 000 km the change from 2nd down to third has now become impossible no problems changing up, and all other gears are wonderful. toyota are doing it under warranty.

toyota is getting rid of the little cars to work on the bigger engines. they will soon release a new camry - it has the go ahead based loosely on the new model and the concept super charger body kit and bigger nicer rims they are trying to get the tissue box and doylies canceled from the extras list. there is a pic in one of the new motor magazines

rear camber should be pretty close to zero and it doesn't /should change on height adjust

answer a. torque steer when you power down - from stand still your car will twist causing it to pull the steering or seemingly to the l or r. answer b. rice or benficial. if you are going to the track or driving you car hard then a strut brace will help settle the car - if not then yes it is for rice...but does help chassi twist when parked at mcdonalds or going through the drive through at krispy cremes

i think i would agree a little barley noticeable though but def more. i thin i have started to notice more because of my suspension setup now too. all the lift off wheel spin is a little great but only when having to drive on public road so you can use the whole "track" to corner

ok my turn I got c-one cause its alloy and weighs nothing. only prob is i have adjustable camber plates and i will have to modify the brace to go bigger than -ve 1.5deg camber as the top hits on the edge of the strut brace. otherwise it is good at doing what you barley notice it doing. decreased understeer and front end twist/liftoff

i have excedy hd ceramicmetel 3 puck - i recomend it thoroughly no fade in mountains/track/m4morning traffic (note all have same stress on clutch )

cracks me up when people want to skimp on tyres. i guess it is a budget thing but i know a lot of people that spend $$$ on mods when the only part of the car that touches the road is the tyres if they don't perform/are safe then the rest of you car won't as simple as that. just my two cents. silver sotne are good performing tyre for cheap as are falken xiex and avon. but check around cause some companys iomport more of one tyre son you might get azenis for like 150 or eage f1 for cheap it pays to do research also 4 might be cheaper good luck

no it hasn't hit the aussie shore yet as the american touge is the latest in our country but it should be soon i will keep checking with my friend who orders them for his tuning shop
