  1. nice man, my friend with a vtec coupe said he had the friction point change which i guess would be similar. i will speak to my boys first thing.
  2. thats more like it. our car is a cult. the only car that i have driven which comes close to the driving experience....... s2000. wanna test our cars then touge with it. i have beaten the s2000. and a audi a4. our car with increased damper loves the down hill and the brakes love it more.
  3. is this thread about auto salon or bittching, makes me sick. please make this forum more positive or people won't join and you will lose a lot of members i had people coming up to me at salon and say they refused to join toyota owners club as most threads are not helpful or positive. if you have a problem speak to your delaer. as i am sure that reinforcing it on this forum will not do shiiiiiiiit. as Xoom will tell you. trade the car do whatever. just stop winging. talking about a shiiiit gear shift or gear box on this forum/ as to how many people have had it will not have it fixed. it is not a drag car it is a sport compact. change gears land out of lift and attack corners harder using the awsome brakes or the well balanced damper. if you drive it hard expect it to have problems gear cables tranny noise. even the s tuned gt z33 has gear cable and tranny noise out of the factory. i know this forum is about helping but i don't want the value of my car to drop. as we are only a very small handfull of people that own the cars whos to say all the other 2zz aren't perfect. sorry. now on a positive note thanks for some of the positive feed back re auto salon. and also for future development of the cars eg exhuast and dyno data. even though our cars are only lightly tuned it is nice to hear some support as we realise there are people out there who have done much more nice work to their cars maybe you guys should enter a sportivo club to the may salon. i made a good choice when i bought this car and asided fom niggles it has been 50000kms of reliable very powerful fun/driving. might i add... some thing constructive. the c-one strut brace takes a lot of understeer away a good investment the car feels much more agressive conering much more confident increased corner attck speed. a good cheap mod in my opinion so chris buy one. in closing. toyota rate the corolla sportivo/runx/tsport as the best sports compact they have made since the mighty GTfour take this as my welcome back post. by the way we need to have a sydney cruise soon guys and catch up
  4. guys i love my car but all this bickering is ****** this will be my last post on this forum. fix the bickering
  5. there haev been professionals stealing sportivos from sydney for a while i thin kthat puts the total up to about 11 stolen in sydney
  6. no offence but i don't know whether HSV is necessarily a better thing man. i have driven a lot to back up my reasoning even the HSV one off that i drove nice car but not neccessarily a better thing. that is a big call
  7. yeah the turbo kits for the 2zz have been around for prob about 3 years. pietr was the first guy in aus to do it an dit was in fast fours with a turboed is200 the torque gains were the only really good things not much of a power gain i can't remember exact figures but he is always at the salons so i might get to ask him all i can remember from the interview was he said it was difficult to find a computer to run it all. think he settled for apexi/ but yeah i agree. high revving N/a is different from boost in so many ways that you couldn't corrup[t it could you??
  8. peekay what are the power gains with the exhaust??
  9. yeah the sportivo has had 6 speaker from the start man
  10. sorry guys not going. i will go to one later when i have finished my mods. i am just going to relax tonight. have fun
  11. i also went through the whole process. puggti180 - too much to service/ sp23 - old persons car/ focus - crazy dash no power to match handle/ clio - cannot fit anything / sportivo revs' like an MF and is lush inside looooks sooooooooo JDM once tuned and is a sleeper. close one with the pug as it is only 34k now pretty biased i know but i did alot of research when i was going to buy a car. a lot of people buy corollas i have owned one previous ask anyone they'll tell you they are super reliable. and this one apart from crappy little problems is so much good value. any how good luck with your purchase in reality the sp23 is the only one i don't like i would drive all the rest if given but i would sell the sp23
  12. yeah come to think of it aaron it may have been a fuel pressure drop- if this happen the ecu should cut engine power due to possible damage - this is why most car use fuel pumps. and it was happening on hard brake and gear down in those corners. time for some twing bosch fuel pumps. for nil surge.
  13. the comparisons are good i have seen a similar thing that actually gave different results but i searched and search and could not find it. i think i was talking to someone on this forum about it and someother people - is it true filters don't give awsome performance straight away i thought they had to be revved out a little some one please clarify this with me. i know new filters give the best filtration but i don't know about the best performance....i am alays a bit dubious of these stuides as they only do 2 trials i don't think that is sufficient to actually give good results. same as with the different bends in intakes. i just wish the people testing had enough finances to do like 50 trial per filter.
  14. hey there i would be happy too would love to do it november though but i'll come for the october one
  15. my wheels are black with standard colour brakes
  16. yeah that'll be a problem with all racing pedals. i just seen some that i would love to change mine to they are available in shop at HJC Tenzo R very nice pedals with legal amounts of rubber even come in matt black
  17. i have factory and they are pretty good man. very solid. a lot of after market pedals are illegal cause they don't have proper grip but i love the factory . I know some one with mom ones and they think they are very happy with them too hope that kinda helps. sparco get a good wrap from magazines always
  18. yesh finally for the award of the e12 i am most jealus of goes to......... shoahouk. smooth car.....any appeals can be lodged with your mum.
  19. yeah i love grims car too but not a stivo and i have beaten it in races :P :P :P keen to dual again... we should have the ZZ awards. most tuned - peekay most blown - grimlock.(next race??) most rice - who is the guy in th eblue mountains with the cannon and the red lights.(he also scores coolest lights award - this award was not show on tv) most slammed - mikesportivo03 most sleep inducing - xoom (bring back the chip) coolest white one with black rims - influx and egene (tie) coolest black with white rims - xtigerx best painted calipers - i forgot. worst stivo - black rolla (self nominated) fattest panda - influx best avatar - mikesportivo03/orrock best 1zz n/a - orrock any appeals plz lodge to the judges by friday any updates please edit in thread :P :P
  20. you guys sound like us nurses always bitching. peekay i love you car and hope mine is tuned as well some day it is probably/is the most tuned e12 i've seen thus i love it i love my car too and all the other e12 because they are e12's threads like this are opinion based thats why they are sometimes biased sometimes not, the only time we as sportivo drivers seem to come together is when we are bitching about another car (sp23 :P )
  21. peekay you always sound like you are attacking when you reply man maybe its not meant to look like it but it does. don't take offence to his earlier comments they obviously were not an insult.
  22. the injector clean i had on my car was around that price but they hooked them up to a re route and cleaned all the carbon from them with their crazy machine. nil whynns involved felt the difference too
  23. i was told by toyota australia, the customer relations unit that it is under warranty. It is not just made for jap spec as most of the parts that fit our cars are made in america anyhow by trd usa - if the toyota dealer is giving you the run around tell them to ring head office as all are governed by toyota aus. not their own little government. remember this...... It is your car you bought it If you choose to modify it you can. if your dealership are not happy then it is their problem. any other parts other than TRD are not covered.
