  1. may just do that. keen for a run soon too grim. want to see whether i just wasted 500 on my car or not, want to run against the honda too but kara's brother borrowed it.
  2. nice results all round. i think all though it will never happen that toyota should bring the CAI out on all cars. as i think every one with a CAI will agree is so much mor edrivable. i have to admit i was so anti CAI when i bought the car, oh well i am allowed to change my mind. the AEM looks like such a nice engine bay accessory as well. nice danz
  3. i think with my old wheels i use to run ?33 don't quote me but.
  4. oh ok cool do they make a better throttle body do you know?? i am also thinking of getting a circle earth kit. just haven't decided on HKS or Apexi. with the fog lights gone now i will also drill the black plugs that go in the holes for better air flow and get them painted white. about 2kg lighter also - approx. and also just a little different.
  5. :) been keen to remove them for a while, just needed a good excuse.
  6. removed them cause i do not use them the k&n filter is not proven better. the apexi one is though but it is roughly the same size. less electrical running and better the ground mean more power for the enigne, if only slight.
  7. cai installed fog lights gone. number plate on. finally
  8. i know this sound sreal obviosu but have you done a wheel alignment since you got the car. the shocks and ?a pin in the drive train have bene known to give for no reason the answer to your no response is that you are supposed to be down 2 gears...... and in lift. it is a new type NA. it needs to be revved to perform. that is all the gear select problem fix is on its way. and it is so hard to be patient. hang in there buddy
  9. they statement that the filtration will drop is the biggest load of you know what i have ever heard esp if the drop in filter is more efficient and not a like a HKS super power flow which is only really good for filtering pieces of gravel.
  10. it won't put strain on the engine just check the up tune they have done for the lotus elise with the 2zz
  11. apexi have a good name with everything that i look at at the moment. i have been comparing a wide range of their products to others and they always seem to give the best results!!! ecu/powerintake/exshaust they all have awsome reviews.
  12. i will hopefully be out at oran park this weekend maybe doing the medical response for all the races, hopefull getting to have a look at the GTP cars. and the procars. training on friday everyone cross fingers. this mean possible pit passes. (for me :P )
  13. i was just on the phone with a customer relations manager as she rang me about my recent warranty work, (to see if it was to my satisfaction) i had a few questions for her 1. Q. if i decide to get any TRD parts installed by toyota the TRD website said it will by covered under the rest of the cars warranty?? A. This is correct and will not void the car/engines warranty and will span the remaining length of the warranty. 2. Q have you heard if the manufactured gear selector cable fix has been brought to aus for installation in our cars yet. A. i am not sure and the dealer you have registered the fault with will contact you. i am happy. also just got insured with just cars, as up until now was not insured for my wheels or springs. the premium is a little higher but they insure unlimited mods as long as they are road legal. and they do not change you premium, excess works out to be about 100 more than my previous. i just have to ring them and divulge my new mods when i get them done. feels a lot safer driving on insured wheels
  14. the heating again and increaed tensioning of the original coils will make them more brittle a harder ride and more likely to damage your existing shocks. get new ones that way they can match then to you existing shocks recoil rate i very much agree with i livfor6
  15. grim lock be serious if you can't beat me you won't beat kara in her S2000. you will need to up grade more than putting an old vaccuum cleaner engine on your intake pipe. She can drive and - 176kw in a 900kg car come on now. :P the next time i won't be mucking around. better practice you heel and toe cause i'll beat you straight line (which i don't care for) then i take you up to winmalee for the pass. :P :P tuning nearly complete
  16. sorry i couldn't come guys i will definitley soon as my car finishes being tuned. grim lock won eh?? what were the sportivos doing who was representing???? you've let me down boys lol just joke
  17. yeah i thought it was just extra over flow from the radiator but it turned out there was a lot of calc under the lip of the radiator cover. thing was bone dry and stuffing with the A/C new radiator working well
  18. the only reason i have the grill is more air into the engine bay and th engine kept cooler if i wanted looks i would go for the one piece bar and grill
  19. sorry to here that truong that is **** man looks like i will be getting a new radiator so it will be fixed by friday but i won't have it tuned until 2weeks time
  20. sorry grimlock no match for a couple of weeks i'm afraid, need to sought some stuff with the panda. :(
  21. going back to penrith toyota. we'll see how we go when the obvious coolant leak gets shoved in their face......they better put a newy in
  22. yeha i know mine are silverstone FTZ directional.
  23. they can defect if no enclosure due to the danger of the paper element in the filter being at risk of catching on fire from sparks around the engine??go figure any way. i know unifilter have a non paper corolla purpose built ram pod. ( you guys probably knew this any way. ) i am off to tape up all the holes where sparks come out so my engine bay does light up lol
