hey all, my car had its 30k service today and they assessed my gear cable rattle and put in the report and the order for my "modified" selector cable, they reckon it is a problem as the cables pass through the fire wall any how 5-7 day wait until my cable comes in and gets installed. I think they temp fixed it because it is definitley making less noise. Also had the fuel inj de carbed.....the response is now back to the way it was when i drove out of the show room. Cheers.

toyota only void the warranty to the parts that are involved with the modifications, like they cannot void it on the engine if the suspension is modded.

My best tip is take them to the smashg repairs place they will install them with a product called sykaflex, which i have a whool etube of but was too scared to use. don't muck around with amature jobs just get it done properly for best results. unless of cause you work at a mod shop/smash repairers by trade. With sykaflex it is imposibble to get them off without snapping them thus no theft.

short shifters shorten the throw. The size difference in the stick depends usually on the stick you get with the kit or if you use the original

Hey guys just a funny thing if you go to toyotas website they have taken all trace of the toyota sportivo of the site. no ad's no way of pricing it. we emailed toyota australia to see what was up and the reply we got was "contact your local dealer".....does this sound suss to anyway else or do you just think they are making way for the 2005 model??

they are one the best small cars i think - my opinion, bit pricey but. Haven't heard of those comp problems but peugot used to have a real bad name, cept for the 205 gti 1.9. i think the main difference is the price in servicing but if you can afford it ill, i would go for it.

hey guys new i still had it. the 2zz turbo celica(vvtli) with the 2zzge 1.8 l engine was featured in april 2003 fast fours, australian due, number plate PETIR, 160kw at the wheels runing 0.5bar/7psi boost, upgrade ecu, custom fuel rails, they also did an is200 (vvti)at the same time , both with upgraded trd clutch and fly wheel so its not such a myth and with the boost setting as mentioned they state maximun reliability and can be used as a daily driver, just thought you would like to know
