  1. If you're going that fast on a public road with oncoming traffic you're nothing but a d!ck plain and simple. Take it to a track before you kill someone whilst 'trying to catch it' you knob. In answer to your question though. When applying the brakes at that speed you're transferring weight to the front wheels giving you the feeling that there is more grip at the front (which there is because the forces are pushing down on the front). At the same time, you're reducing your rear end grip because the weight that was on the rears when you were accelerating has now suddenly shifted off and moved to the front when you applied the brakes. Add in lateral forces when turning and this will cause the rear end to swing around at little or no notice.
  2. this sounds really offensive please read my previous post. i said i would rather go for handling mods over engine mods. i suggested tom's ECU and the rev to 11000rpm thingy because grima88 mainly concerned about power at the moment. i know it sounds very extreme but isn't that you guys after? not sure if you guys like this one I think the point is, Changing to the TOM's ECU wont allow the engine to rev (Maybe once before it goes bang) to 11,000rpm. The Atlantic engines do, not only do they no longer resemble what came from the factory, they have to be stripped down frequently.
  3. On my old car I've used that in conjunction with the traditional degreaser, just need to stay clear of the coil and distributor. On the new one. What works best is a large and small paint brush compressed air and a few old rags.
  4. ! Do you know how light those things are!
  5. RME1 - Jules saw you on the way to work this morning on Blackburn Rd near High St - I was in the shaggin wagon. Stock black sportivo behind you.
  6. It was mine on this thread before some moderator decided to delete it? - I said any well designed/thought out exhaust system suited to the car will give gains. Now watch him go on a power trip again... :D
  7. There is also 'some' evidence that CES lose power or dont gain any at all...
  8. This looks ok, here's the European Sedan.... Although we will probably get the more boxy front Japanese version. http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm/newsi...-european-debut
  9. Can you explain because I dont get it, I just see alot of exhaust smoke.
  10. Welcome. Nice meet there. Was that a 3sgte in the Camry? I like the Silver Scion and the Blue XRS Corolla.
  11. Melbourne was back in fine form! Good to catch up with everone. :)
  12. Before you play with the adjustment I would do what VVTLi suggested, swap the bulbs around.
  13. It depends on the application and this is what you have to decide on and look at whether it's worth your while to spend the $$$ Stock Shocks and Upgraded Springs - Better around Town and the odd spirited drive and good looks. Upgraded Shocks and Upgraded Springs - Better around Town and the occasional track day/touge run. Coilovers - Dedicated Track Whore. So the way I see it, if your car spends most of its time in and around town and you just want looks, save yourself the money and only upgrade what you HAVE to. But if you want more out of your car, you have to spend more on your suspension.
  14. Yes have the guards rolled and it should resolve the problem.
  15. I know man - Unfortunately the date just doesn't work for me :( I tried believe me. Silas - So well organised, well done once again. Have fun people

Forum Terms and Conditions Traders Advertising in Buy and Sell New Rules Governing Buy and Sell Took the words out of my mind Mark Careful we may get banned if we keep going
  17. It just gives the engine better cooling because (a little) more air is going into the radiator.
  18. I see a red one every morning with the Blitzen Kit, looks ok, I Like GT Sti better though
  19. I don't think it matters what or where you get it from as long as it's a well thought out system appropriate for the car. If it is, you're going to get gains. ;)
  20. Don't know about everyone else, but I'd rather a Mitsubishi 380GT. I think it looks far better.
  21. The stock shocks have a certain tolerance. They will be ok with a 35mm drop which is what King Low, WhiteLine, Eibach Pro etc will give. Any more such as going to King Superlows they will be out of that working tolerance, so immediately they wont be as effective and also wont last very long.
