  2. Rav4 at least the current generation has a on demand 4WD system either engages automatically when it detects lost of traction or manually underneath the steering column which manually engages 4WD mode up to 40km/hr... not too sure on the previous generation Rav4 though... :)

  8. no no no... do bug DJKOR...! its his part of his hobby to roam around the Aurion forum and gathering info etc... everyone knows DJ knows more about the aurion than a average mechanic + salesman combined and times that by another a factor of 2... :P i wouldnt do some of my mods if not for his guides too... :P
  9. pfft... majority of all things in the world are Made in China anyway... all my upgrade bits are from China and are not inferior except maybe the feel good factor? :P you could spend couple of hundreds more on a euro or jap made kits but chances are there will be chinese made components in it... :)
  10. FYI 4300k or 5000k gives you the maximum lumen which equals to maximum throw for your hi-beams...
  11. Just uploaded the pics of my normal LOW 35w HID beam and HI 55w HID beam, between my position to end of the deadend is about 250m plus and i did not adjust my high beam angle... my camera is a shonky Panasonic Lumix with exposure set to '0' fog lights was also turned off to not distract the whiteness of the beams, this should give you a better idea how bright the 55w HID... cheers
  12. i installed 55w HID... very long throw and *bright*... i could take some pics for you if you want to see it...

  15. instead of creating a new thread... as some of you Qld-ers would know i just got my car back from the workshop since it was hammered by a impreza bitcach in 2009... i found there is a couple of clear coat oversprays where it shows up like a 'drop' in the driver side door... anyone here could enlighten me to what grade of cutting compond should i be using to smooth it back...?
  16. Hmm.... guess what my yaris is back but... foglights dont work (probably lose battery screw, looking at it atm... ) along with my right HID light... and my right front power window shagged itself just 15 mins ago... i will be driving the yaris i think once i get at least the lights working... if not Aurion... just wont be there at 8pm probably more to 9pm... please bring the springs out DJKor...
  17. Me Yaris is still in repair shop after getting sideswiped along Warrigal Rd... Due to get it on Thursday and hopefully able to grab the darn springs from DJkor...! Will know if i get my ride back tomorrow... lol
  18. Well i was riding my mates BA Falcon today... roof lining is coming off and *rust* between the sheet metals just behind the door hinge... for a aussie designed and built car, thats shameful as the car is barely 4 years old!
  19. 650 unit... thats about 60-70% cheaper at least from what JB is offering atm... couldnt be bother to ask about the 30% off car sound deal...
  20. Wheels magz are cater for bogans anyway... i dont recall an issue where they did not mention a Ford or Holden somewhere ever! Every car reviewed has to be rated against the god almighty Ford or Holden and they more than often lose to the local gods...
  21. for 650 bucks its a good bargain over the more established brands... (Apline & Pioneer...) I was at JB today and cant believe the prices of the double dins... cheapest Pioneer was well over 1k mark and the cheapest double din was a JVC with a really crap LCD resolution retailing for 560 bucks...! <_< thinking hard over whether to source mine from overseas (HK or China) or just get a Auspak ones...
