  1. I sense some form of closure approaching.
  2. Search 'carmate' on tocau my friend. You won't find any nice stories about them.
  3. I'm still a huge fan of the facelift. However if I now had the choice between the two I'd still be leaning towards the pre-facelift. I hated it to begin with, but once it was styled properly it actually comes out looking rather aggressive with a set of eyelids and a big open mouth grille.
  4. It does. It pulls better in the high-cam range also. There is still that issue of the power dip prior to lift. That's where the catback can help. Add some form of aftermarket standalone ecu to that equation and you have a potent setup.
  5. I've seen better results from a 2.5 inch catback system compared to that of an intake. It's marginal though. It does of course depend highly on the type of muffler you're running. I'd be doing my best to make sure the muffler is unrestrictive.
  6. Won't they be embarrassed if xoom runs into them in this lifetime...

    Nelson. What a ****wit.
  8. Haha... I'm sorry, Billy. You are just not virtuosic enough, nor possess enough awareness of your own pitch, to conscript me to your legions. (I still envy your career, though .) Now here is a man that writes similarly emotive songs, AND manages to satisfy the above criteria. I present to you... Tom S. Englund (Evergrey) (I believe this gaze says something to the effect of "My instrumental ability far exceeds yours, Billy.") :P Dude, we saw some stupid shredding last night. He even surprised me. I was a tad shocked at some of the **** he was pulling off. Mr Englund is rather epic however. I refuse to let my burning loyalty of Mr Corgan to get in the way of giving him a firm tip of the hat and a show of horns for his epicness. Pics are coming soon though!
  9. I'll have pics up soon...
  10. I thought you were running a manual. I'm at home now so the pics work. The oil matches T.J's claim. Give your nose a good rub in it and tell me what it smells like ok? Ok :)
  11. We'll wait and see then :raises eyebrow:
  12. My grandfather always used the words, "You could be right." Just say that to him. On the other hand I myself could be wrong, you never know. I am confident that's what it is however. If a gearbox was blowing smoke then the smoke would be coming from underneath the car (I speak from experience. My father and I had a rear seal go slightly on the gearbox of our project car. The gearbox oil would drip onto the exhaust piping and burn. Car looked like it was burning underneath for a few days until it was fixed). The smoke was coming 'out' of the exhaust right?
  13. That explains it perfectly. A motor needs fuel to burn, not oil, in order to go anywhere. Motors don't like using oil that way. A rough example for you: I work out here and there. After a workout I'd be rubbing Dencorub into my muscles to assist in keeping them from seizing up (I will admit I haven't needed to use it for ages, but anyway) and re-fueling them with protein and carbohydrate. If I was doing what your motor was doing, then I'd be eating the Dencorub instead of rubbing it in externally. F*** that. Oil is used in a motor to lubricate moving parts basically. It's not used to fuel it. If it is, then it's going to run like a fat kid with a belly full of M&M's and ice cream.
  14. Well all you need to do is look at the evidence. That should be enough to convince you of any problem. The lack of rings = oil going into the cylinders and being burnt in the combustion stroke. That is then drawn out of the motor, down the exhaust and out the muffler. That explains why you guys had plums of white smoke coming from it at times. Due to this happening intermittently, I'd say it could be one or two rings that aren't totally blown, but they are at the end of their life. It 'seems' straightfoward. I'd have a mechanic check it out first. I like problem solving, but I am human after all. Of course I could be wrong.
  15. Honestly, oil in the carby = ring or ring(s) blown. That explains the oil being pushed up through the breather hose into the carburettor housing. I'm confused as to how a gearbox issue could cause this. You'd know if your gearbox was giving you grief. You all of a sudden find that its behaviour is altered. Whether it is altered slightly or greatly is another matter.
  16. There was a guy in Canberra who owned a '95 Vienta. The car has disappeared now, however it was rather unique. It was metallic gold, a big kit on it etc. I didn't think that much of it. Until I discovered that he had reworked the entire car. The V6 quad cam had some form of a jdm turbo kit on it, coupled with an lsd etc. To this day I vowed I would defend Camrys like a dog before it's master because of this fact. He earnt respect. This car was definetly no slug, and very unique. He reminded me of Bill (xoom) a little. Why be a sheep, when you can be a wolf.
  17. I hope my post hasn't scared anyone. I would say that it's only a possibility at the moment. There's a slim chance that this micronised, disjointed and overly obscure form of writing will ever be adopted. Judging by the graph that is.
  18. From memory that starts a chain reaction which gets you the girls as well, har har har. The 2000 models have the facelift fronts yes?

I haven't officially renounced my catholicism as of yet, but I'm a firm believer in Buddhism now. Are you serious? That's the reason it is censored?
  20. 20 inch wheels look awesome on a sportivo. That is if you want it to look like an oversized, lame monster truck / dub car. 18's are the highest I'd be going.
