  1. Awesome, thanks Daryl, helpful as always :) I will keep my eye on Ebay for a second remote then I reckon!
  2. 2 to date and have been very very happy with both - funnily enough both Camry's!!! First was a 1995 Gen 3 CSi Manual, and current is a 2006 Gen 6 Sportivo Manual :D Looking forward to owning it for many more years.
  3. I think that sounds pretty good actually. In terms of it being too big a day, depends on how many we have and by the looks of it we have about 14 or so. Well I was thinking say we hung around at Albert Park for an hour, left there at 1 and got to somewhere for snack/drink @ like 1:30 ish, then maybe back to the Bolte by 3pm and a few shots and it winds up around 4pm. Just a loose sort of time frame. 14 sounds like a pretty manageable group :) I'll leave it up to the Melbourne guys though to think up the snack place - Lee you mentioned St Kilda, that fairly close to Albert Park?
  4. Well - just to throw it out there, and keep in mind my knowledge of Melbourne isn't all that great, but what about if we combine all of the ideas?? Say those of us that wanted to could meet up at like 11am for the car wash, then say a 12pm meet @ Albert Park for photos, do a short cruise somewhere for lunch/coffee then get some shots under the Bolte Bridge and say goodbye there?? Dunno if that would be too big a day or not.
  5. Hmm interesting. I have the second key, its just the second key didn't come with a second remote. So basically if I did want one then I'd probably be best off just buying the remote unit itself and pay for the programming from them at the same time??
  6. Hey guys I'm hoping someone here will know or have tried this out before. Basically when I bought the car as a dealer demo they only gave me one clicker and when I questioned this they said they didn't have a second and wouldn't make me a second given it wasn't "brand new". Now I was pretty ****** off about this but one is better than none. Anyways there is a seller on Ebay selling the remotes themselves for $1, so I'm wondering if I bought one could it be easily programmed from my existing remote? I did a quick search of TOCAU and I can see threads on older Camry's, but was interested in a 2008 thread with Aurion instructions - seeings these cars share so many things would remote programming be one of them? I would like to have a spare just in case, not that I doubt the remote itself (it belongs to a Camry after all) but more that I'll drop it and kill it! Lol.. Cheers in advance for any thoughts/experiences :)
  7. Heheh congrats mate! You definitely won't regret it ;) Is it an auto??
  8. Heheh thanks guys - really nice that you all want me to come :) Am really looking forward to it! *Fingers crossed* my personalised plates might arrive by then too! Lee - I changed my tune as soon as it wasn't a rolla only meet hahahah Although I was thinking of gate crashing it ;) I don't mind about time/location, Bendigo is only an hour and a half away so a late arvo/evening meet would be fine, gives me an opportunity to get down and wash the car (if a group of you are doing this beforehand I will join in and get the bugs off!). If it was a night meet I would just leave no later than 10pm, just cos I gotta work on the Monday morning. All the locations sound great to me, will be good to check out parts of Melb I haven't seen before.
  9. I'd love for you to come to the meet, considering we still haven't got that photo of our two cars together yet haha. :P Hahah well I'll definitely be there then!! ;) Altho those new rims show me up now, so we'll have to do another shot in a few more months when I'm running some different wheels! Am happy to meet wherever during the day, the TomTom will get me there lol
  10. Well seeings this is open slather now I'd love to come along! Day meet would be preferable for me, just cos I gotta get back to Bendigo. Although it's an easier trip now that it's all freeway. Will be nice to see everyone again and people that weren't able to make it to the TOCAU annual meet in June.
  11. Ohhh come on,one more Aurion is needed,so we can at least be the book-ends on all these rolla's in the photoshoot... :DI'm also use to hanging with heaps of rolla's,this is me chasing 5 of em thru the hills of outer Melbourne... :) Hahaha Lee - sorry I don't own an Aurion, otherwise I'd be up for it!! But somehow I think a gold Cam would make an odd bookend to all the rolla's lol
  12. Looked like an absolutely fabulous day, am sorry I couldn't make it this time around. But I will definitely, definitely be up for whatever the next meet is & the next dyno day. I'd love to see Indomi's Camry up close!!
  13. Nothing exciting today, just a drive to get some cash and some pizza for tea! Although on Sunday, weather permitting, it will get a wash & thorough clean inside and out :D Just bought some tinted slimline weathershields so they should arrive early next week - hope they look as hot as everyone tells me hahah
  14. For sure mate. There is always next time. I can't wait for another cruise............. hand itches .............. Excellent - am glad there will be a next time :D Would love to take the Cam out on another cruise, maybe later in the year we would be able to do the original cruise route that was proposed? Or a portion of it. I've never been out that way to Healesville, King Lake etc
  15. Hi all, unfortunately I can't make it down for a look-see now :( Like Andy I've gotta head in the opposite direction and go up to North East Vic - family thing I can't avoid has come up... Would love to see photos/results of the dyno afterwards, and definitely count me in for whatever the next meet is!! Some kind of meet-up in August maybe??
  16. Gotta go with the Azura...Good looking car and you will have no issues with reliability as stated. Plus, far more features in the price. But as has been said you're not gunna know for sure until you hop in both of them and give 'em a real good workout. And just to chuck my 2 cents in, I didn't pay that much and mine's a manual Camry Sportivo. I wouldn't be paying that much for an Altise. And yes, mine only had 19,000km on the clock for an '06 when I picked it up as dealer demo.
  17. Great piccies Mick - there are some good ones of the trip down!
  18. Bonus points goes to you for the shot of the white ZRE! :P :P Hahahah I thought you would like that one!! It did look very good rolling past and I had fun shadowing you through the curves, the Camry was snapping at your heels ;) Am looking forward to Zoran's photos/video footage, I know he took a shot my my car and the others behind when we were stopped at some lights on a slope, think it might have been in Lilydale. Plus I want to see that vid of him spinning it up through the grass & mud :D
  19. Hey Matt, glad you joined up :D I must admit I voted for your engine bay as well, I just loved it all. The amount of effort and love put into that car has all been worth it as it looks absolutely fantastic. Hope to catch up if we get some more Vic meets happening :)
  20. Thanks Matt :D That was a really nice surprise when I uploaded the photos onto the laptop. For a couple of years old 5MP Kodak (its about twice the thickness of digital camera's these days) it takes some really great shots. I love the couple of photos of your 'Rolla I got though, the Aurora Gold decision really was a good one, it looks fantastic.
  21. Well count me in then! :D I would love to come down and check it all out, plus get another look at some of these cars. If he's still got some spots next week (pay day) then I reckon I might give this Dyno thing a try, $45 sounds like a pretty good deal to me!
  22. Heheh not at all, I really enjoyed yours too :D I think between all of us that had camera's there'll be heaps of fantastic shots and all the cars covered. Am really looking forward to more freeway/cruise shots and Pete's shots; he posted on Auscam that he didn't have his cables with him so won't have his photos up until this weekend. Just sooooo many good looking cars on both days! Loved your pics too Evan, god those N95's take great snaps. Edit: Hahahah Vinh - do I get more points cos it's a manual?? :P
  23. Hahahah well seeings I'm in cos it's a manual I better check out my schedule!! I hope I'd have no excuses to miss them :D Part of me is kind of interested to dyno the car, just to see if it is correct with what output is supposed to be and know a bit more about it, but dunno whether I'd be too embarrassed lol Reckon I'll just come down and suss it all out :)
  24. And last but certainly not least here are some photos of the cruise :) Okay so this one technically is before the cruise, but I just had to share it cos I think the Cam is looking awesome. Who says getting to places early doesn't pay off?? Sorry I wasn't the best at taking them through my windscreen.
