  1. can we stop the lame jokes please....
  2. im gonna take a guess that your economy is sad for the same reason as the original poster lol
  3. out of lift the 1zz rollas will be faster (im talking stock for stock) as the 1zz cam profile is for arguments sake about half way between the 2 profiles on the 2zz motor.
  4. this topic does not need a bump every hour.....
  5. it pulled hard to 8700, after that it started to taper off, the 8700 fuel cut was just to see how it would go, and it dosent look like it can take it on stock internals, so untill i get a better bottom end in this motor ill be going back to 82-8400 fuel cut, but lift will still kick in at 5700rpm.
  6. i think the cut out point is higher than 8000rpm in stock form, its starts redline at 8100rpm lift is from 6000-8200rpm on stock sportivo corollas and AU celicas
  7. sombody had to say it.... http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=5503
  8. Northy, is there any way of telling them apart from real c-one and fake ones? the genuine c-one wings are fibreglass, and you get a cert to say they are c-one, get a sticker too, i have only even seen genuine c-one wings so i guess you would have to see both to compare.
  9. good point northy.. do u think down shifting while matching the revs would b the problem? i know its good for the synchros but i did it on the old car and the petrol distance was the same. just think of how many times you would do that during one tank of fuel, everytime you blip the throttle you are using more fuel so it all adds up...
  10. it could also be your driving, mabey have a slightly heavier foot due to the nice noise that i makes
  11. lol, miss shift give me some credit...didn't happen it broke while in 3rd or 4th doing 5-6000rpm, was the rod that broke at this stage head/valves look to be ok.
  12. after i had figured what broke in my engine i knew that toyota would knock it back, but it was worth a try, the thing that ****s me about toyota is there lack to deal with propper genuine warranty issues and design flaws. I found out last week why the sportivo has been dropped from the lineup, to date the 3200 odd sportivo corollas have cost toyota australia $160M AUD in regard to total cost of warranty/recall work, thats $50,000 per car, so no wonder they are trying to "wash" there hands so to speak...
  13. those prices that you have quoted would not be for genuine c-one wings, sounds like they would be copies...
  14. being one of the few forum members to have owned modified stock and sportivo corollas, there is nothing like VVTL-im the shifting issues are nothing really to be too worried about, new clutch/flywheel and you are all set, they also respond to mods very well, CAI, extractors and exhaust will see you pushing over 120kw atw. Also they come with alot of good things inside, leather, climate control etc so i think that the sportivo would be the better choice. :)
  15. really shows how smart the pommies are.... also shows how much these guys know about cold air lol
  16. woooohoooo dylan, congrats on the time mate, i also herd that few of the other lads were running some impressive times :)
  17. there was/is a guy on the forums that has/had a blue corolla and he got a scoop put into the stock bonnet, from memory the cost was around the 1K mark.
  18. i have a spare light weight 2zz as well :P
  19. So one person said its a waste, and others disagree in general (but from what i gather these are all sportivos). So what about just plain Conquest Automatic? Worth it? or just like Leasaunce said, there's no point? mate he has a camry, i have had both 1zz and 2zz rollas and CAI is worth its weight in gold. ask hsien he has an auto 1zz and he loves the CAI.
  20. just trying to help mate, its your money...
  21. spoke to CES today, Trevor said that if we can get 5 he will give you 5% off so only need few more guys..
