Not cool... if you pay for timing you should be timed. But I guess its not too bad... usually the first session is just to get used to the track again before you start pushing the car. You can get a suspension shop to reset/compress your springs a bit. But it will reduce the life of your springs dramatically.

Agreed. They weigh 1600 kilos and dont handle very well at all, especially when compared to say.... i dunno, a Corolla? Nice car man it looks quite neat. I really like the look of these Supras, and i love the interior...

*whistles* (Dont judge me!! it was off the streets :P ) Anything that isnt dry tarmac makes ABS useless, but even on tarmac i find it quite restricting.

Having driven on every possible surface out there.. even sand and snow in a variety of vehicles with and without ABS, my advice for braking on only one surface at a time is throw your ABS in the bin. Driving on multiple surfaces at once and slamming on the brakes is a different story, and will just cause your car to spin, this and the fact that many drivers cannot find the threshold of grip when the brakes are applied is the reason why it is placed on modern cars. With that said, on tarmac with just street driving i recommend it. Love your approach on applying all your track knowledge to regular street driving mate, keep it up Ben! :)

I have dobinsons rear coilover springs. They are also nice.. but as they are part of my coilover setup, the ride is harsh too

Engine has been in and I wired it up as much as i could. Been waiting for the auto electrician since friday :(

So you are asking me why I modify my little granny box Corolla that you give no cred to? I drive and modify cars because they bring me joy, its something i love doing and 'wasting' my money on. It builds skills, brains, confidence, friendships and memories that no other pieces of metal could. Why a corolla you ask? Because it does just that. I love how its a light car that handles extremely well I love bouncing around on the street due to my stiff suspension and listening to all my passengers complain about it I love how it has more room than a van in the back when i have no seats... but i cant carry anything fragile due to said stiff suspension :P I love hating when it scrapes when i run the car at a low ride height I love how it keeps up to cars that should be alot quicker than it. I love the engine screaming to insane revs and that it has enough go to keep me happy I love the history behind my car in motor sports I love the way it looks... but because i am a modifier, im never 100% happy :P I love always being the under dog and people giggling when i tell them i drive 'some corolla' It isnt a civic, nor a pulsar... so it doesnt fit into the majority of stereotypes held by those cars... And because of that it builds its own rep with whatever it does. I love how its a really cheap car and achieves all this :P I love my little car, its not the fastest car in the world by any means, its not the coolest car by any means, and its not the most practical car by any means either... but it makes me happy :) I use it for what I want it to be used for, and in the end of the day thats what any modifier wants it to be in their life for. Its more than a granny box, or a family sedan, its one of the only pieces of metal you can have a relationship with. AND, If youre a true enthusiast you will see behind the corolla or camry badge. If you are just trying to get rep in the maccas car park then continue doing that and dont come and bother true car enthusiasts with your authoritative and somewhat offensive tone.

AE82 for less than $1500. add coilovers for $1000. Then second hand semi slicks for ~$500 give or take. WINNAR!

Ahh this meet would be awesome! Been up past Healsville countless times. The black spur run is a bit of a waste of time IMO... head out past there to buxton (mmm... burgers...) then go to marysville and then up lake mountain. Smooth flowing roads that lead up to a huge car park (no skidz... ok mebbeh a few) then a 10 minute walk to some awesome scenery. Would make for some nice photos :) Have fun guys! ill try and make it to the next one, this one clashes with the classic japanese car show Im down for garage cafe... place looks mad!!
