  1. Looks awesome Steve... makes it more organised spot on Shao :)
  2. Don't worry about it Bec, he misinterpretted your signature that's all. We never said anything bad about SRC either, I like the SRC crew, it was the Twin Cam people that have the poorer rep, but that has died down some what now too... Be Cool and Cruise safe :D Dylan Cut it out George... Where has she critisised the people on here? Bec, you are doing fine, don't listen to the lone voice in the wind, do what you think is right :D
  3. why not get an old Suzuki Swift or Daihatsu Charade... the 3cl 1L engines in those things are pretty misley on petrol :P
  4. I'd still rather see them put the new Cosworth Atlantic (Duratec) engine in there ;) but that is some awesome power for a FWD car http://www.cosworth.com/shop_range.php?typeid=40
  5. Roads are being kept as usual :P but if you look in the street directory I'm sure you'll work it out... it's the common cruise route that Toymods and SRC often take ;)
  6. 8 girls here is still more then on SRC forums :P but we are a much larger forum ;)
  7. precisely why I wanted to 'play' with him at Wakefield Park. That track plays into the hands of our nimble little cars. I was passing Monaros last time out. :D don't forget the punishing we gave him through the nasho
  8. George, you're reading too much into this. There has always been cross promotion across the forums. Toymods promote stuff here too. There's nothing wrong with it. Bec is new to the role of Cruise and Promotion Officer so naturally has only just registered in other forums. Previously it was insobblahblahblah macca that was doing the promotion here for SRC. Leave here alone, she has as much right to be here as anyone else.
  9. George there is nothing wrong with her promoting the SCR cruises here, they have in the past and will in the future. On the most part the SRC folk are alright. Toymods also promotes some if it's cruises here too so I don't know that the big deal is. I agree with you on the Twin Cam folk, but apparently the stupidity has died down a bit, but from what I saw when a few of them joined the Toymods Cruise to Robertson Pie shop... it still lingers... but again, that was just one in the group that ruined the day for a lot of the rest of us.
  10. if you read is past posts, his daily driver is a genIII supposedly.
  11. take a look at his other 11 posts Bill... nothings changed!!!
  12. right that's it... you, me, Wakefield Park right now!!!!! if you don't have anything constructive to say, that *****, and take your $250 a week fuel bill genIII with you.
  13. in adelaide they used to have an annual rave at Stonyfell Winery and Quarry (where they invented Penfolds Grange) That was the most awesome site ever!!! Was awesome!!!
  14. that's gold!!! I love the reply letter... long live 'brough!!!!
  15. now come up to Sydney on the weekend and install them with me :)
  16. Awesome news Bruce. Hopefully things will run smoother 2nd time round. It still concearns me why they were even sent back in the 1st place with no attempt to contact the listed people on the packages... oh well, hopefully this will mean it all gets sorted out soon. :)
  17. that's one of the guys I got a quote from, it's the same price and the same bar :) Mine should be arriving anytime soon for pick up from JDM yard for the same price, but better security as I can pay cash on pick up there rather then credit card over the internet, they just ask for a 50% deposit like everywhere else. But Bill that is a great price and a brilliant item :) as a comparison, JDM yard and JDM concept both gave the same $249 figure. Ignition X gave $280 and Maztech, the Australasian distributer supposedly could not even find the right part number as far as group buys went, JDM concept do not do group buys as they already have extremely good prices and JDM yard offered a discount if we could get 10 or more sales. EDIT: all relevant information is in the old group buy thread :D http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=6387
  18. the wheel arches are too high on the ZZE rollas and give it a Hilux look unfortunately. When they are lowered they look pretty good though. The best car I've seen the sportivo rims on though is the Mazda 2... true story, it looks awesome :)
  19. for those that don't realise the Exige uses the same 2ZZ-GE motor and C64 gearbox that we have in the corolla... :o :o :o :o :o
  20. They are perfectly legal if used correctly and under the correct circumstances ie, in inclement and adverse weather conditions. I also think of the Corolla lights as driving lights not fog lights as when you turn them on they actually don't do much, they actually fill the close range gap and a little to the side that the standard lights do not get to so actually provide a benefit. They DO NOT dazzle oncoming drivers like others would make you believe and I actually demonstrated this fact to a police officer one night shortly after buying the car a couple of years ago. He let me go as he could see my point...
  21. I just had a contrary belief to the others as to the true value of the short shifter, I just believe it is not a necessary mod, that's all. I'm sure there are small gains to be had, but it's not for everyone, as with any mod. I'd just like to point out that there has been a recall of all Lotus Exiges because the short shifter they installed from factory had a tendency to be pulled out of it's housing under stress and even break. Now I don't know if they used one of the aftermarket choises or it they fabricated their own design, but if you ask me, I don't like the sound of that...
  22. Again I'm not going to talk kw gains as I'm still not 100% convinced on the CES gains myself from my Dyno readings, but these are done in less the perfect circumstances. Suffice to say my original Dyno, Stock, was 115.0kw, with CAI 1 month later it was 119.8kw, with CES 6 months after the original reading, the CES had been on for ~4 months it was again 119.8kw, and this weekend, following several swaps between by stock airbox and my CAI and a new MAF sensor, and ECU reset the day before and ~300km run in that was not ideal highway driving, it was 115.3kw... I know what you mean by the clutches as mine was one of the worst, until it was adjusted 12 months ago and I've loved it ever since.
  23. Dylan you were running a CES catback and CAI weren't you? You had more power than Brian did. He was pushing 115kw at the wheels. You had more didn't you? What's your point? lol What my car did on a dyno in Sydney vs what Brians did on a dyno in Melbourne in irrelivant to the arguement that cannot be compared. Yes I had the CAI and CES exhaust, but I thought the race pipe gave better top end ie better for the drags... The clutch and higher spec pressure plate make a difference, but I'm yet to get these items too. I would rate the HD clutch and pressure plate as having a greater effect on his time then the short shifter ever did... takes no effort to land 1-2 lift if you know how either ;) practice makes perfect... :P those mods do not shorted the life of the car, in some of those cases, such as suspension, it can actually prolong it... it is the way you drive and care for the car that determines the life of the vehicle, not the modifications.
