  1. Saw this in another forum and though I'd give it a go here. It's a work association game where you start with a word then reply with another word assocated with that one, then another word associated with the 2nd word, etc, etc, etc.... So here we go... let's guage the mentality of this group :P So I can post in this area of the forum I'll start with the word... CAR
  2. What you talking about, Craig? There are already too many snowflakes in Poland... Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr <_< :P :P :)
  3. Is there an institution that will fund this 'research'??? :P
  4. Good to know you have a sense of humor about the 'rice' issue :)
  5. great idea, poor timing, more notice next time would be better, doesn't need to be a lot, just a few days min, but a regular meet up place would be good, like the Brizzy boys have, and with most Stivo's in the Liv, Cab, Fairfield, Campbelltown areas would be a good place to hold it I think... Pitty about the food though :P
  6. You're in Christies Beach right??? I've got just a few words for you... Piggot Range Road to Clarendon, Kangarilla Road to Kangarilla, Bull Creek Road to Strath/Goolwa turn off, Goolwa to Victor Harbor, Victor Harbor to Yankalilla/Second Valley (the road that goes through the valley from the western side of Victor near the High School) then back down South Road around Sellicks Hill and cruise on home (maybe a run up the old Willunga Hill Road for good measure!!!) This was my run in track plus a few drives around Clarendon, Cherry Gardens and Blackwood area. My folks live in Aberfoyle Park and I used to work at SOLA down a Lonsdale so know these roads backwards, inside out, and upside down!!! My everyday drive was Lonsdale Highway so I wanted to vary it up a bit by taking it through the hills as often as possible. These roads are great because they have a good combination of sweeping bends and open straights, though the Bull Creek section of road can get busy with motorbikes, use your entire rev range in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, vary the revs in other gears and give a good combination of driving styles, but like Brendon said, don't thrash it though. Cheers Dylan
  7. Only just found this, more notice maybe next time and I'll be there for sure but like Zee said, which maccas in Liv and what time... good work trying to get things happening though :)
  8. If warranty is your concearn then simply improve the ride and handling and forget about what is under the bonnet. In my opinion now having been on the track, the handling needs the most work. As was said by Northy the adjustable Konis with Low King Springs would be ~$1400 installed. Replaceing the entire suspension system puts you under the suspension manuracturer warranty and I doubt they (Toyota) could prove that mods to suspension caused the grearbox to jam or the engine to die... Then you can grab yourself some nice looking lightweight 17 inch rims and sticky rubber (looking at ~$2000 or ~$3000 if you go to semi-slicks, keep your stock wheels though incase you ever want to have seperate street/track rims). Finally if you really want to, the CAI is easilly replaceable should warranty issues arrise TRD is ~$450 or the Simota one (exactly the same only black pipe I think and no pretty TRD sticker) is ~$200, but having said that, upgrading the panel filter to a better brand ie K&N could be an alternative and provides better throttle response but not the kW gains.
  9. What were you up against Craig? The split times look close, would have been good races to watch...
  10. I forgot my camera, but took a few shots with Daves, but not sure how well they turned out.
  11. NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCEEE Great stuff Craig ;)
  12. Cheers for a great day Dave... There were sh!t loads of cars there and far too many Monaros for my liking (just seemed to be taking up space cos they weren't going too fast. ZEE, too bad you couldn't make it, your SMS hit me just as I got on to Macquarie Pass so unable to reply, you could have come down later in the day if you really wanted, oh well, next time. But my feelings from my baseline run was that the stivo ROCKS... like we didn't already all know that. All the Commodore guys were amazed by how well they go and were real interested with what mods we had done to get them sooo quick, and wanted to know waht turbos we had fitted, they quickly went red when we told them mine was stock as a rock and that they were N/A. I think power / weight is well in our advantage as we could brake so much later and better mid corner speed also. Plus kept with (or pulled out in Daves case) down the straight. Lets get a few more out next time, it's a great fun day that is not too expensive when you think about it, you just have to be prepared for the 'just in case anything happens' situation that i'd rather not think about. But to get a feel for what happens you can join Dave and Myself as spectators for the Circuit Club track day on ANZAC Day (Mon 25th April) see this thread...
  13. apologies, my computer hung while posting this, hence...

  15. I think about 500 of those was me looking at your garage because 'apparently' you editted it almost every day and I was looking to see where the edits were :P Great way to keep your car on the 1st page of the garage to bring the hit count up though... :D Congrats
